I think UN is unable to do its mission with the presence of country like USAâ€¦.

UN dont really have that power to do anything.
It is mostly controled by american goverment therefore they are not doing anything to liberate palestine.
Israel have violated UN regulations thousands of times but they know UN cant do anything about it.
They will never give an nch of their land just wait for Iran to get rdy so they can wipe Israel off the map once and for all.

First the Un Created Israel on ARAB LAND and now that Israel is occupying palestine all these years and making resolutions against israel, the UN still does not intervene against the israelies on behalf of justice.

Why does Israel hate the UN for creating it?

If anything the UN should invade israel and liberate Palestine like they did when Saddam invaded Kuwait.

To Jesse: maybe if the UN had been around "during the creation of the United States", as you said, it would have stopped the White Europeans from slaughtering and stealing the land of the indigenous people, the First Nations.

The illegal creation of Israel, the backstabbing lies they promised both Israel and Palestine, ignoring their ability to over power countries that cause a real threat to the world, the U.N. is a great thing but its run by pacifists who won't even have the aggression to spread pacifism. They do the bidding and dirty work for America, who does the dirty work for Israel, which ends up being a biased world verses the less fortunate countries who follow the Geneva convention.

ABC says it simply an Empire like America keeps it from working as planned.

Because the "Human Rights" Council is a huge joke. Members of terrorist and major human rights violators are condemning Israel for protecting herself against terrorists while the UN Muslim nations ignore the rape, torture, and murder of thousands upon thousands of their own people.

It's akin to getting all hyper over a jaywalker while a serial killer is completely ignored.

In other words, the criticism and hatred against Israel is obsessive and blown completely out of proportion.

It is a fact that close to a million Jews were kicked out of Arab countries right after WWII. Most people don't know that. And, 80% of the land of Palestine IS a Muslim country called Transjordan. But the non-Jewish Arabs do not want you to learn history, because it would not be kind to them.

The UN used to do the bidding of the United States (and they still do, to some extent) and they're very ineffectual.. but I do agree with how they're speaking out against Israel.. not that it does anything because Israel an the US ignores them anyway.

To begin, the US did not fight their Revolution to become part of the UN. THEY ESTABLISHED THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! If the UN was around during the American Revolution they might have intervened as "peacekeepers" and prevented the US from winning its independence. The UN interferes in private affairs and only pereptuates the violence (look at Africa, it is still a war zone despite all of the UN's efforts). You think that is any different from the US being in the Wars of Iraq or Afghanistan? Same lame judgement because some countries think they know what is best for other people but do not. As for Israel, did you know that Israel was a country over 3,000 years ago? Almost 1,500 years before Islam even became a religion? Almost hundreds of years before it became known as Palestine? Arabs invaded in the Middle Ages and CONQUERED it from the Byzantine Empire. I am not sure you understand what exactly it is that the UN does.

(The joke is, in case you didn't get it, that the real UN IS a place where various nations squabble and waste time.)

So your general appeal to the UN as the highest authority of what is correct and legal in the world is, well, not very appealing.

The UN has sanctioned Israel more than places like Burma, Sudan, China or the Arab countries (who have extreme human rights violations). I am an American and I find the UN Human Rights Council run by countries whose human rights records are abominable. The Un does not represent the world and you are naive if you think it does. I know most people here are quite young and really do not understand geopolitics or how international or national organizations work. In time, you will see these organizations for what they are.

I am about the same age as the UN and have to tell you they are involved in a lot of messes besides the middle east.
The point being they seldom do any good or agree on anything.
Recently, calling the number one inhumane nation Israel, with all that is happening in Africa and South America, is stupidity.
I for one don't think they are worth the expense and don't think the world needs them.
