Why are there SOOOOOOOO many stray cats in Israel?

Unfortunately people abandon cats and dogs all over the world. There are so many homeless cats who fight on their own to survive.

Hopefully there will be more people in Israel involved in rescuing these homeless sweet pets and find them homes. I already know of an organization who does it in Israel known as the Cat Welfare Society of Israel.

We also have an organization in the USA that is dedicated to the rescue of Feral Cats and getting them fixed.

Animal cruelty is an unforgivable sin. All who abandon the innocent cats are guilty of life eternal punishment in fire and hell. Not that I believe in any such fire and hell.

The British in the 20's or 30's brought in a lot of cats to deal with the apparent rodent infestation at the time.

The cats spread out and the rest is history.

Mew25 is right! There are ALOT of cats in Israel. Why is that!? Sorry no answer, but I see them everywhere in Nazareth, where I spend my summers.
Far, FAR more then in London, where I live.

because, no one would take care of thier pet cats, they all ran away, one thing would lead to another, and you cant go anywhere without seeing a cat, but at least they dont have a rat problem anymore

Same reason they are in the rest of the countries, people kick them out because they can't feed them anymore, they breed, have dozens of kittens and voila!

idk...........maybe the same reason why there are so many dogs un Pakistan. Maybe jews don't like cats as pets. If so, then its probably cuz cats were given a higher status than the israelite slaves in Ancient Egypt.

Speaking of that, I wonder if anybody thought that Hitler was jesus, since the Quran says that Jesus will come and destroy the Jews.

There are probably a few reasons for this including people of that country not caring enough to get them desexed and also it appears the people are willing to put up with having that many stray cats around etc.

Jewish people do not like spending money feeding/neutering their cats. Just joking.. Really Israel for the most part is crowded and not all glits/glam. Most populated areas have their problems w/ strays.

Don’t really know about cats; however, vampires with black ropes and long curls banging their heads to the wall are seen there….

lets ask the israeli government, maybe if they stopped destroying homes of muslims ,cats would have a home too!
