Why cant all muslims start Ramadan on the same day?

Good question, the prophet PBUH said:
"صوموا لرؤيته و افطروا لرؤيته"

NOT :

"صوموا لرؤيته و افطروا لرؤيته في كل بلد" !!

what I say is, the Muslim Ummah is supposed to be one wide country, consisting of different Wilayas, that is, the Wilayat Misr, Wilayat al Iraq...etc.
So one Sight of the crescent should applies to the whole Ummah. That's how things should be according to what I believe, and I wish I'm wrong.

But being separated the way we are nowadays, each of the 55 Muslim countries has its own strategy, each starts according to its sight, not to others, dude, we're being divided in purpose, that's why we're so weak, make a little comparison bet. the Muslim world during the Islamic Golden Age and that we live through currently, get Surprised my friend =)

It all has to do with the moon my friend. Many see different views of the moon depending on where you live.

I know its the same moon... BUT Islamic laws say... each Islamic state has to see the moon for itself... AND if its not an Islamic state and they don't have any Islamic organizations... then they have to go with Saudi Arabia...

AND as the person above me has stated... each country sees the moon differently based on the geographic spot it is in...

it depends on the moon, once you spot the crescent, a new month has begun, and countries having different geographical spots, perceive the moon depending on its and their placement on Earth...then it also depends on other factors that are much more complicated, last year, most arab countries were announcing fast the next day, just as nasr allah was live on tv announcing victory, while we here in egypt were drowsing...i'll cut and paste something i wrote on my blog then,

"Egypt's helal is in America :)
Amr Adeeb is on TV..just then..they were saying some papers wrote that egypt's ramadan is ba6el..i see it ba6el..in all senses ba6el..and the mofti answered that selon calculations..what the other arab countries saw was not the helal....give me your brains..who do you believe?

god's words are clear...when you see the helal..he did not say selon calculations..so what is it about egypt..where do we stand?..are we that developed..look around you...have we reached moon rocket sending era...where is our progress...in calculating where helal stands?....and what's this term.."moderate"..moderate arab countries...or moderate islamic countries...moderate allies

Libya at 2pm saw the helal, Nasr Allah was broadcasted live on satellite...i have been waiting 60 years for this moment..forget about my age...i have been waiting 60 years for this moment you sons of b*...60 years you mothaf*...and..one after the other...arab countries were announcing ramadan.....here in egypt...nobody is here....no one has a clue....the people......then at around 8pm...on national TV...seidna el sheikh looks like he's been given a shot of anaesthetic...and the mofti says..with this wolf look in his eyes..just as if he had gaab el deeb min deiloh..."according to calculations".......give me your brains...."

of course the only countries that fasted a day later were egypt, jordan, and 2 others, the allies :) oh and something else, we fasted on a sunday, which i found rather ignorant just when the new pope had come up with that incredible famous speech of his :) i really wanted us to start ramadan with the rest, on saturday

it means :start fasting when you see Ramadan's moon,and stop fasting when you see Shawal's moon....
so each country has its calculations and it varies from one country to another.....
i know it's a nice thing and it was suggested once but as usual ppl disagreed on which country should we follow..KSA?or Pakistan?...or what?......

it can not be friday as there are only 29 or 30 days in yhe mounth most will start fasting on thursday but the big question is when is Eid

DUDE!!what is your problem..every one is different....you can get Fasting on Tuesday or maybe Thrusday...Um..WHy are you calling IDIOLTS!!that's just weird..i don't want to be mean or anything.this is a month with love and Blessing..
oh yeah i started my fasting on Monday..this is my third day..
i love fasting...i <333333333333333333333333333333333333333... Ramadan..

Just because we live on the same earth and see the same moon does not mean that we also have the same horizons, which is how we see it on different days, based on in which part of the world we live in.

More important than that though, is the extremist anti-Shi'a verdicts being issued in series by Wahabi sect muftis, including one one being halal of masscering the Shi'as!!!

because it depends on seeing Ramadan moon ..

so when ever a country is able to c it .. they'll fast .. other wise the people in charge will wait for the next day ..

Ramadan moon is how we know it has come ..

They all, through OIC, are trying hard to come out with a solution for this issue.
We must have a thought in our heart that one day the fasting and Eid will be celebrated on the same day.
