Pepi the last King of the old Kingdom lived more than 90 years. Ramses the second ruled more than 60 years. It was Tut Ankh Amun who died at about 18 most probably because of a wound. At that time though there were no antibiotics, blood analysis, X rays etc.but they performed surgery even in the head. in the Egyptian museum in Cairo there is a curved metal needle for operations like the ones used nowadays though not as thin and fine. There are papyruses explaining how to conduct operations with detailed steps. Other papyruses show surgical tools. |

We know that the Pharaoh Tutankhamen died at a young age,it is thought around 19, but many have lived to considerable ages.We also know from recent investigation that he died of septicemia from a wound to his leg and knee. That was most ikely caused by an accident chariot racing or hunting .
The newly relocated mummy of Hatshepsut the famous female Pharaoh shows that she was likely in her late fifties when she died. The well known warrior Pharaoh Rameses II was around 94 years old when he died and ruled right up until that time.
The average age would likely round off around the mid forties for the life of a Pharaoh. When you consider that there were no antibiotics etc that is a pretty good life span. |

Cause they didn't have the medical care back then that we have today. Back then alot of ailments could not be cured. |

Everyone in power is in more danger than everyone else, because more people want to kill them, either to usurp the power or because they disagreed with the persons policies, also way back then the doctors kind of sucked, like they thought soap was badd for you and that draining all your blood would cure you. |

Same as the above answer. They did not have medical advancement as we have today. Let's not forget, they lived in the dessert. |

I tried to find out how old Cleopatra was when she died but I cant find it! I think they died young was because of lack of medicines like they have today ! |

In those days, when good medicine was still thousands of years in the future, almost everybody died young. |

Like 40, would be more like it. Up until the 1500's people were still living to that age. Egypt of today of course has an avg life expectancy of 61 for men and 64 for women- not much of an improvement, according the global index. |

many kings and queens lived long. those who didnt were either victims of accidents or plots of usurpers.
there werent antibiotics, but the pharoahs were able to produce the like of it by salting fish and keeping it in a closed pot till Easter time when the weather changed and people caught diseases . when they ate salted fish, they were cured.
this kind of fish has been analysed and found to have someting like anibiotics.
the pharoahs were skilled at operating on ill patients . they even made surgeries in the head , which is complicated. they removed cancer tumors , etc |
