That is what they are trained to do, they want to put fear in children! they want to scare the civilians away from their homes and land!
Shame on them!!!

Oo why is anyone killing anyone in the first place ?

DANIEL W
Israelis do not target kids or civilians, they are trying to protect their citizens in Sderot and Ashkelon (both within the Green Line) who are being INDISCRIMINATELY targetted (targets civilians and kids) by Hamas (i.e terrorists) using their Rockets.

Israel target terrorists, terrorists target civilians.

Whilst kids unfortunately have been caught in the crossfire, as long as rockets continue Israel will continue to take steps to protect its citizens.

Why is anyone killing anyone? None of the killings are justified - neither the Israeli deaths nor the Palestinian deaths.

If you simply browse through the Israel section, you'll find a lot of questions that are the same as this one.

All of us are experts at practicing virtue at a distance.

The death of any child is sad, one must however open his eyes and look at the reality of it, it is Hamas that started this, and only Hamas must be held responsible.

I am predicting Hamas will last till the end of this year, at the max !!

yotg
I can easily change the words "Israeli soldiers" with "Hamas terrorists" and wonder the same thing...

Easy with the demagogy; remember that this conflict has two sides.

Why are the Palestinians deliberately killing Israeli children?

Why are the Palestinians deliberately aiming their deadly rockets at hospitals and schools?

Why should any Israeli citizen have to endure SEVEN YEARS of daily rocket attacks in their own home before Israel takes any action?

Why are there Israeli children right now lying in agony in hospital beds, with limbs missing courtesy of these Palestinian terror attacks?

Why?

Is there no mercy in YOUR heart?

mr. roo .JPA.
Why do the kids attack heavily armed soldiers? Because Hamas encourages them to, the same Hamas that fires rockets indiscriminately into civilian areas and sends suicide bombers to kill random civilians.

The difference is that Hamas killes children deliberately. When children are killed by Israeli responses, they are not being targeted.

It is a deliberate tactic, about 545 were killed between 2000 and 2004, a big % professionally killed in such a way as not to be any "accident"In the 4 years after 2004 many more were killed very often pre teen kids.

It echoes Golda Meyer who said:

"They (the Palestinians) will give us our way when they think more of their children than their land" (or very similar words to that effect.

In other words kill the kids to scare away the Palestinians

The Arab website AL HEWAR has international observations and reports on nearly all of them.

Website Quote "Since the outbreak of the Intifada, several human rights organisations have thoroughly investigated the circumstances of thousands of Palestinian civilian deaths, reaching the conclusion that the Israeli army "kills civilians knowingly and deliberately".

One of these organisations is Physicians for Human Rights-USA, which investigated the number of Palestinian deaths ............"

EDIT 5th Wed March , a baby was shot "accidentally " by IRD "soldiers", I bet most here did not even notice this professinal shooting---in calssic style they shoot one or two at a time which does not arouse international attention

the idf is for protection of israel.
no1 wants to kill any1 but the rockets against innocent civilians in israel leaves no choice and israel must protect israel.

you know israel will not stand and let itself be targeted with missels that were supplied by iran. if you were at home and bombs were falling on your house you'd understand. hamas targets innocent civilians homes and doesn't care who it hits and celebrate every time they kill/hit/injure some1 and israel targets hamas millitants it doesn't target civilians on purpose. that's the difference.

i might also remind u the idf doesn't do anything alone the israeli government takes all the desicions. israel is a country like any other country which if had been attacked would have responded much more harshly as you know israel has stayed quiet for 8 years(since the first qasam rockets started) and now hamas has even better rockets that are made in iran and they can get to even wider ranges and they shoot them onto more cities and israel can not stay quiet anymore it has to protect itself and go after the militants i'm sorry that i can't say otherwise but they are endagering ppl from both sides and must be stopped.

i might also add that israel has left gaza (i think its a good thing) and tore down many settlements and homes of settlers so that gaza could be without israeli control and yet gaza has only become more violent after israel has left.

look the israeli gov is discussing the most important issue:
until now the idf has refrained from targeting civilian areas
which hamas shoots from.
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,...

let's hope the israeli government can come up with a solution how to target the hamas from those areas b/c if it won't then it will act like any other european/us/african/asian country. i hope the hamas militants are aware of these discussions b/c the idf will not allow them to continue shooting from back yards of buildings or streets or balconies.

anyway i said enough - i want peace too.
i want the arab world to support the peace and i want the rest of the world to support it too so that we all can live here safely.
every1 knows that the minute the arab world tells the palestinians to stop fighting and sign a peace treaty they will. and every1 knows that the minute they do israel which has already started the peace process many times and still is in the process with the WB will be willing to negotiate with gaza again and come to a peace agreement.

Just like an Arab to blame the victims.

After months and months of relative inaction in the face of daily rocket barrages, the Israeli government decided to take action to defend her people. The decision to act followed the death of a civilian in Sderot from Kassam fire, and the landing of rockets in Ashkelon, a southern city with a population of 100,000+.

So here's MY question: We see that Israel will never have an acceptable "excuse" to pursue the terrorists and destroy their infrastructure and rocket factories. Such action will inevitably trigger universal condemnation. So why should Israel wait to be punched in the face before embarking on a self-defense mission?

I read that hamas kills the kids and throws them out into the streets and blames the israli's

why indeed, kismet one is enough surely!

The simple, though unpopular on this board, answer is because they're what the terrorists are hiding behind.
I know I'll receive a far number of "thumbs down" on this viewpoint due to the overwhelming number of anti-Israel posters, yet it is nonetheless the truth. The number of children killed is significantly less than the number of terrorists killed, and the number of military actions that have killed civilians only unjustifiably are minimal in the extreme. It is a sad thing when children die in this conflict, yet the blame for their death cannot be said to be (only) Israel's doing. Trust me that Israeli soldiers are not trained or sent to kill children, and as compassionate and humane individuals would never do it intentionally.

Why do Palestinian mothers allow there child to be forced to live as human shields to protect terrorists and their weapons of destruction? That is the problem and the Palestinians' know this but chose to continue to put their children in harms way. In any other socieity Palestinian parents were be declared unfit parents. So when the Palestinians start loving their children more than killing Israelis the death of so-called innocent Palestines will saddly occur again sometime in the future. When will Palestinians change their ways?

Good Luck!!!

It is a sing of weakness on the Israeli side that will lead to the end of the state. The Israeli leaders can do any better. The only game in Israel is war and killing of both people.

To win by attrition. They murder the young to reduce the resistance in the future.

It is too late for zion now though. I think they know now that they have lost. They can't turn their circumstances around, so they become increasingly desperate.

they shoot the kids because they can't run as fast and are easier to hit
