I guess it all depends on why & how you broke up ! If it was a messy , bitter breakup then I suppose it follows that it will only complicate things if you try to keep an old friendship alive...
On the other hand , if you simply drift apart but without anger & bitterness it's possible to remain friends...

Cuz it's uncomfortable or unhealthy to continue communicating with ur ex after a split,cuz there will still be a connection between use 2,when all u want is to forget the person to move on and start a new path.

i think they probably ended it on bad terms so they dont wanna talk for awhile to either get over each other or until they stopped hating each other lmao, like my ex bf me and him had the most outrageous break up ever, like the entire community was involved lmao, and me and him didnt talk for like 2 months but now we r just friendss, no more tension or anything

In fact, your question is exactly what i always wanted to ask people. I often wonder the same too...

For me, who recently (a few months ago) got out of a devastating relationship with someone whom I thought was my match, happen to be a fake person in the end. He lived a double life and lied so many times to me. He is also part of this forum and known for his intellectual questions. In fact, he would portray himself to me as a loyal/trustworthy, cultured person but on this forum, he would ask questions that contradicted his portrayal to me. He sought other girls, lived on dating sites, and BS every female he could locate to do so..

For such reasons, I'm unable to communicate with him (even on a friendly level) because I scorn liars and cheaters. Though, I've moved on, I'm still turned off by whom he is. Sadly, I use to think he was my best friend. Now, my heart spits at him in my prayers for he has become my worst enemy. I have forgiven my past with him but will never forget it.

it's not bad.. u can do what u want concerning that.. although there are some exes who become good friends after ending the romantic part of the relationship, they just can't imagine how life would have been without that friendship and there are those whose friendships doesn't happen.. we move on.. it does shows immaturity if u ask me... but hey that's life :) WE ARE ADMIN.
