Why do people forget that Jews occupied Israel before Palestinians? |
D'uh! Judaism is an older religion than Islam. 6000 years ago the Jews occupied Israel. 4000 years later the Muslims took it over. Now the Jews have it again. Additional Details So since the Jews have it now, it's okay to bomb the hell out of any Palestinian regardless of whether or not they agree or are affilaited with Hamas? Is it also okay for them to close borders, limit water supply, turn off electricity, create food shortages, etc (all of which they have been doing for the past year); in an area that they supposedly no longer "occupy"? In that case, let the massacre continue...
--------------------------------------...
The Hamas could easily save civilian lives, but they choose to hide among the civilian population, leaving all their key targets next to schools, public places, etc. Shame on them! |

bc that part of the equation is not part of the propaganda that's regularly disseminated by the arabs.
btw, they were never completely driven out either. there were 800k jews living there when Israel declared. population counts of 1947 listed 700k arabs living in what became Israel.
so... they were actually the majority at that point. |

Where does it say in the Book of Rules, that Israel has to be responsible for the feeding, clothing, medical treatment, water supply, electricity supply etc etc etc of a completely separate ''country''.
If the Palestinians are so damned wonderful, let them feed, clothe, house, provide their own services themselves, instead of spending their billions and billions of aid money on more bombs to kill the hand that feeds them. |

Probably b/c they never learned about it. I don't know about other countries, but the American school curriculum is somewhat laughable in some aspects. Good luck trying to get 16 year old American to identify where Israel even is..... |

It doesn't matter who was there first or who took it from who and when. What matters is after World War II the U.N. decided the Jews needed a home so that 6 million of them wouldn't be slaughtered anymore. It's just sad that all the radical muslims get their turbans in a twist over such a small country. If they want to live in a muslim state, they should go to Saudi Arabia. |

To answer you, I wanted to say that you have a very good point.Israel never belonged to any Arabs.Israel has belonged to the Jewish people for more then 3000 years.Palestinian Arab nationalism is largely a post-World War I phenomenon that did not become a significant political movement until after the 1967 Six-Day War and Israel's capture of the West Bank. The term "Palestine" is believed to be derived from the Philistines, an Aegean people who, in the 12th Century B.C.E., settled along the Mediterranean coastal plain of what are now Israel and the Gaza Strip. In the second century C.E., after crushing the last Jewish revolt, the Romans first applied the name Palaestina to Judea (the southern portion of what is now called the West Bank) in an attempt to minimize Jewish identification with the land of Israel. The Arabic word "Filastin" is derived from this Latin name.3
The Hebrews entered the Land of Israel about 1300 B.C.E., living under a tribal confederation until being united under the first monarch, King Saul. The second king, David, established Jerusalem as the capital around 1000 B.C.E. David's son, Solomon built the Temple soon thereafter and consolidated the military, administrative and religious functions of the kingdom. The nation was divided under Solomon's son, with the northern kingdom (Israel) lasting until 722 B.C.E., when the Assyrians destroyed it, and the southern kingdom (Judah) surviving until the Babylonian conquest in 586 B.C.E. The Jewish people enjoyed brief periods of sovereignty afterward before most Jews were finally driven from their homeland in 135 C.E.
Jewish independence in the Land of Israel lasted for more than 400 years. This is much longer than Americans have enjoyed independence in what has become known as the United States. In fact, if not for foreign conquerors, Israel would be 3,000 years old today.
Palestine was never an exclusively Arab country, although Arabic gradually became the language of most the population after the Muslim invasions of the seventh century. No independent Arab or Palestinian state ever existed in Palestine. When the distinguished Arab-American historian, Princeton University Prof. Philip Hitti, testified against partition before the Anglo-American Committee in 1946, he said: "There is no such thing as 'Palestine' in history, absolutely not."
Prior to partition, Palestinian Arabs did not view themselves as having a separate identity. When the First Congress of Muslim-Christian Associations met in Jerusalem in February 1919 to choose Palestinian representatives for the Paris Peace Conference, the following resolution was adopted:
We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, as it has never been separated from it at any time. We are connected with it by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic and geographical bonds.
In 1937, a local Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, told the Peel Commission, which ultimately suggested the partition of Palestine: "There is no such country [as Palestine]! 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria."
The representative of the Arab Higher Committee to the United Nations submitted a statement to the General Assembly in May 1947 that said "Palestine was part of the Province of Syria" and that, "politically, the Arabs of Palestine were not independent in the sense of forming a separate political entity." A few years later, Ahmed Shuqeiri, later the chairman of the PLO, told the Security Council: "It is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria
Its not ok to bomb anyone, but in this case, Israel had no choice, she as a country as a right to defend and protect her citizens and thats exactly what she is doing. |

Hi all, my first input on here, i wanted an unbiased low down on the Israel/Palestine Situation an ended up here, whilst i've read some balanced/unbiased answers unfortunately the majority of "answers" are by illiterate retards who think, because they were born in a particular place, e.g Palestine, all Israelites are evil and wrong and offer pictures of dead war victims, (can't remember his name,) like they have never committed similar atrocities ! its this tit for tat intolerant attitude that's responsible for the problems and violence all over the world !!!! stop being a hypocrite an try being man enough to voice a more tolerant opinion ! |

You are really something. Most Jews left Palestine long ago and before Hitler's crazy rule that caused Jews to migrate to Palestine, its population was 100% Arab.
Palestinians are not just Muslims. There are Christians as well. I am Palestinian and after Christ, the Old Jews who remained in Palestine converted to either Christianity or Islam. The land belongs to the Palestinians. |

Because you cannot base your claims for the land on religion!!!
Judaism is older than Islam so what is your point? The majority of of these ancient tribes converted to Christianity and to Islam so do they lose their historical homeland for that?
Do people gain this so called historical right upon their conversion to Judaism? Do you really think this is normal and not racist and stupid!!!! |
