Why do some Egyptians hate Sudanese? Is it because of color or something else?

I think the main reason some Egyptians may resent the recent influx of Sudanese refugees is that there just isn't enough employment and housing for the current population.
So any discrimination and resentment is more than likely due to economic factors and diminished opportunity which may be exasperated by the current world financial crisis.
A large percentage of Egyptians,particularly those living in the regions of Luxor and Aswan have Nubian or Sudanese ancestry.
So any Egyptian who discriminates on color or ethnicity is not fully aware of their own heritage.
From antiquity the Egyptian people were made up of many diverse ethnic mixes,so there is no one genotype who can claim to be the real Egyptians.

We consider Sudanese like brothers, that doesn't mean they can take the official nationality or some of them come from the south and live in the streets in one of the most important squares of Cairo. This is against rules.

If we speak about love and hate, we don't hate. If we speak about rights, they have enough rights that made more than 2 million Sudanese live inside Egypt among friendly Egyptians who welcomed millions of people from all over the world.

i think in any country there is percentage of ppl hate any other nations but it is not the majority to speak about

Sudanese are Egypts version of Mexicans. They illegally come to the country, commit all kinds of disgusting crimes and kidnap egyptian women and when they get arrested they cry racism. Plus they are so lazy and sexually harass women.

when i was in UAE , my best friend was sudanese & our neighbors were sudanese as well & we had great relations..

is it not because theres loads of immigrants and refugees from Sudan goin into Egypt. Theres also a high rivalry between christians and islam egypt tries to spread islam in sudan and like 1/2 are islamic and 1/2 are christians

Usually most of them don't. But I used to know Sudanese people when I lived in Egypt and they used to tell me that people hate them because they aren't Egyptians and they can't get the nationality.
