I have always believed that there are some decent Jews in Palestine.
These guys are the ones that cannot stand the blood and the killings happening on a land that's supposed to be holy.
Dont you ever forget son that these guys stole a land that was once a paradise on earth and turned it into a living hell.

OK, so to answer your question:

The first is because ersatz israel is seen as just a jumping off point to America. Russians come to ersatz israel on their planned moved to the US.

The second reason is that mothers don't want their children to serve in the IDF.

The third reason is because teenagers want a better education.

The fourth reason was for a chance at a better job and to live in a better economy.

Israel is a war zone colony for the last 60 years where poor Jews get killed and rich Jews get richer in the West. Israel is a war zone colony where peaceful settlement to the colony is made impossible by the Jewish lobby in the West. So most Israelis want to lobby for Israel rather than getting killed for the lobby.

Boredom,for the most part. If you are originally from Europe and most former citizens are,the Levant is going to seem like Nowheresville after awhile. They leave for the same reason young people leave places like North Dakota. Most relocate to the U.S. Another thing former Israelis tell me is that they got sick to death of the constant super-patriotism,all the exaggerated flag-waving and jingoism. Several have also mentioned the heavy-duty cultural conditioning. You have to learn Hebrew,a difficult language and useless anywhere else on earth. You have to reconcile the contradictory propaganda lines that 1) "we are Invincible" and 2) "we are surrounded by enemies and deeply vulnerable". More than anything they get disgusted by the extreme racism,the sense of living inside of a movie about life in Mississippi back in the 50's. I've known plenty of ex-israelis and I think this is a fairly accurate run-down of their reasons for leaving.
I've never met one who left out of fear of "terrorism" i.e. the Resistance. I've even asked. They always shrug it off and comment that statistically your chances of dying as a result of partisan activity is miniscule next to your chances of dying in a routine car accident,which is probably true.

Just because Israelis leave Israel, don't think it means anything sinister. Israelis are people. People all over the world since there have been people, have picked themselves up from one place and moved to another. People still do it today for all sorts of reasons. Just because someone is in Israel, doesn't mean they should somehow be different to the rest of humanity.

they leave because their not religious and don't think that. their materialist just like the rest of the world who wants to move to america.. they see life there as easy and you make more and live better. most religious jews also don't live there for the same reason.. its harder.. you make an average salary of 12,000 a yr and that's good! and half of it goes to rent and food cost more and so does everything else.. trust me ive been here for 2 yrs i know what im talking about! oh and that person who said Russians come here to move to america is so right.. so do many other people.. japanese also

Well I am sure people leave for many reasons...people emigrate from the US too

1. Economics: Find a job in another country and decide to stay there
2. Bad Aliyah - Aliyah didn't work out for whatever reason they decide to go back to their old country
3. Discrimination - I read in Ha'aretz that some of the Russian immigrants don't see a future in Israel because they don't see themselves as real Israelis and don't identify themselves as Jews
4. Politics - don't agree with some of Israelis policies so in the ultimate form of protest they leave
5. Feel safe in other countries - Many Jews left their own countries because they faced discrimination but now feel its safe to go back (like in Russia)
6. Safety - the threat of terrorism...some people can't handle it

It's common, so I've read, for many Israelis to take a break and travel abroad after their tour in the army. Also many Israelis have dual citizenship so those often live abroad with family members who didn't make Aliyah.

@Zeno: True, but some people are very influenced by the news...it's like when the news in the reports every shark attack that happens in Florida and in reality you have a higher chance of dying from a bee sting. The safely issue could have fallen under Politics too....i.e. don't feel like the government can protect them. But you are probably right about not many people leaving for that reason.

Thats what great about living in a free country.
All different reasons, like any country i don't think there is one specific reason.
Maybe
- Go live with other family
- Try and find a better life
Who knows.

Because, unlike the Soviet Union of old, Israel is a democracy and thus lets Jews emigrate to wherever they want to and they do not need Israel's permission to do so.

The reality is that Israelis emigrate to America and vice versa so there really is nothing strange about that at all.

They immigrate to America mostly. Israelis who have had someone die due to a suicide bomber are not thrilled to live there anymore. Most stay, but some leave. The purpose of terrorism has served its course in this manner. They do not leave because they are against Israel, because they come back later. Others leave because they want more materialism in their life. In israel, wealthy people is big, like it is in the USA. We are in a recession right now and the average america still won't feel it. Life is simple in Israel. They all come back later though.
