Jews have a lot of money. Professional public relations firms charge a lot of cash to flood the media with propaganda. Why are the Palestinians so negatively portrayed? It's very simple: No cash for top-notch p.r. contracts. Meanwhile the jews get their promotional training hands-on at the best school on earth for the purpose: Hollywood. If you've ever noticed the similarity between the advance publicity for a Hollywood blockbuster and a blunt act of zionist aggression, you were not imagining it. The similarity is quite real. |

Poor Israelis :( They just want to keep the land they stole, and continue to kill people in a peaceful way.
Is that a big deal? |

One mans "resistance" is another mans "terrorism", depending on your perspective. The "portrayal" you speak of is undoubtedly a product of Media in North America which is extremely pro-Israeli....always has been and always will be. Different people see it from different perspectives. Make your own choice; don't eat what the media feeds you (obviously you do, but it bears mentioning). |

Well, this is a complex issue, but in a nutshell, the US and Israeli media protrays and will always portray Israelis as the victims. The IOF murders innocent Palestinians daily and without restraint. Yet, as soon as one of the crude metal rockets (If you can call them rockets) puts a ding in one the streets of Sderot, they cry foul and claim 10's of people are suffering from "shock". Spare me the drama. Truth be told, the Palestinian resistance is in response to the brutal occupation of Palestine, not the cause of it. How else are they to resist? They, unlike Israel, do not have a blank check from the US for sophisticated weaponry and aircraft. They are forced to do whatever is within their means to defend their country. It is not portrayed this way in the media due to one huge reason. You only need to look as far as who owns the media corporations and who they are loyal to. From my perspective, the constant bombardment and occupation by Israel seems more like terrorism than the honest resistance from the other side. I do not see Palestinians cowardly dropping bombs from aircraft on innocent civilians, but I do see the IOF doing so. So I ask you, who is the terrorist in this scenario? I do appaul the qassam launching and the occasional suicide bomber, as I think they are accomplishing nothing but setting back the cause and hope for peace. An innocent life lost on either side in unnecessary. Non-violent resistance is always the best way to go, but do I blame the ones who defend theirselves and their families, not at all. |

I can add nothing to what Arianah has written. I agree with her entirely. I have rarely seen the matter put so well. |

Fox news portrays it in that kind way always. but lately not much is being said about Israel or Palestine,I suspect Israel is upset or doing something as to affect that peace plan that is in the works. still I can not tell you why freedom fighters are TERRORIST. chow dear..F.P |

Because for the last 30 years or so, anyone anywhere who fights for independence is considered a "terrorist". Look at Chechnyans, Basques, Kosovars, etc. All are considered terrorists instead of fighting for freedom. |

It's all a question of who owns the media and as we all know it 'taint polite nor fittin' to be suggesting jews own a lot. |

If you can explain how intentionally launching rockets at civilian population centers and blowing up cafes classifies as resistance and how it would help lessen their own occupation and subjugation I would be delighted to know.
If the targets were military or infrastructure I would not complain, those are legitimate targets for a resistance group. One armed group against another.
But when you intentionally target civilians in order to inflict fear and terror into a population, that is the definition of terrorism. |

Well as an Israeli citizen, I don't think of it as terrorism just because it doesn't inspire terror.
But it isn't resistance either because they don't resist against the causes of occupation, instead they just attack every civilian target they can and when they manage to actually get near a military target they praise Allah that he has struck a blow to the zionist oppressors. The groups that commit "terrorist acts" do nothing to help their position, but instead provide just cause for the occupation and increased security.
The reason for any occupation of any country in the history of the world has been to quell militant and violent groups following their defeat in a war. In past wars in different parts of the world it has been alright for disengagement because the violence in those countries has stopped or in the case of say, vietnam, the US was able to run away because they didn't need to fear reprisal attacks on the US because they are so far away.
When Israel disengaged from the gaza strip, daily rockets were fired and civilian targets, hamas forcefully took over the strip, they staged kidnapping attempts, and they try to infiltrate Israel to commit bombings. Now is this example any incentive to disengage from the west bank? |

Come on Gloria you are too smart a person to ask such a silly question. Cowardly attacks on civilians is terrorism and that means anyone that backs it too.
They have the weapons, if serious leave your women and children at home and come out and fight like men. |

Because they primarily attack civilians by blowing themselves in crowded areas. This is terrorism through and through, it doesn't matter if you think they're overall agenda is in the right and the Zionist occupiers are in the wrong. |

let me ask you this
is there is any resistance group that isn't considered a terrorist group
and there is a a terrorist group that isn't considered a resistance group
it's all on what side you are
one side calls them freedom fighters the other a terrorist group
che guevara? was he a terrorist or was he a freedom fighter
if you are american he was a terrorist
if you are cuban he was a freedom fighter
so it's really depends on what side you are
how do you define what is a terrorist organization
by saying he also kills civilians
well the Israeli army kills civilians
by thats definition he also a terrorist organization...
i identify with the Palestinian resistance purposes but not with there means to get them
violence didnt solve the problem so far
i dont think i will solve it in the future
peace |

Strapping a bomb to one's self and detonating it on a school bus, a crowded market, or a disco isn't terrorism? Firing mortors at schools isn't terrorism? Putting bombs in ambulances so they could detonate it at an Israeli hospital isn't terrorism?
The "Palestinians" would have their own state tomorrow if they'd stop killing Jews. |

Truth Beyond All
 |
There is no legal Palestine, there is no army, they are not "fighting"
The United States Department of Defense defines terrorism as “the calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.” Within this definition, there are three key elements—violence, fear, and intimidation—and each element produces terror in its victims. |
