Things dont get better after marriage, and truth be told some women will need constant assurance that they're beautiful, that you love them and that you arent eyeing other girls. If she falls pregnant you arent going to really have a great time dealing with her emotions.

Women are very fragile creatures and in life they can come accross certain retards who mess it up for the next guy. So we're constantly on guard not wantng to be hurt or lied to again. If we'd remain so gullible every player who loosely throws around those three words would always get lucky. Yes, marriage might be the ultimate sign of love and commitment but how many men and women commit adultery and how many people divorce? Marriage isnt a guarantee... you just have to find within yourself a way to make this woman feel even more secure about being you. Make her feel gorgeous, grab her when she looks sexy and say something silly and playful like "dont go out there looking so good, I'm scared someone might take you from me" - I love you- noted.

It is so important for a girl to be constantly assured of being loved. Let me re phrase it, for me it is vital. I say it to my sweetheart everyday and I need to hear it as many times as well. It does not lose any value by being repeated my dear! If he doesn't say it to me for a day, I sulk for a week! |

But on the brighter side you should say i love you, when u have the urge to say it... that will make it more special. so if you want to say it 5 times in one day go for it, if you only want to say once a week - good on you too!!!

Some people are insecure and need constant reassurance. It may not stop if you marry. She might still be insecure. It doesn't really lose its value if you say it every day. You should tell her at least once a day, but she is wanting too much if she has to hear it every hour. |

My husband, either in a humorous or quiet moment…pops up out of the blue, hugs or grabs me and says ‘I love you my darling’ That is good enough for me, I don’t need to hear it drummed into my head every day. He would never say ‘I love you’ on demand…that, I can forget. He hates mind games….unless of course we are playing with one another.
Only people that are insecure in their relationship need to hear that they are loved over and over and over again. But that in itself is a dead give away that something is wrong

I agree with you .... by saying I love you from morning to noon, it is definitively going to lose its value. I only say I love you when I really mean it. You anyway do not have to say I love you, you can do little things that means more like putting toothpaste on her toothbrush, running the bath water for her etc. |

I agree with you - it does lose it's value and becomes more of habit - like brushing your teeth - you do it without thinking. Maybe she is insecure and is worried you will leave her and by saying this every day to her is her "insurance" from you that you are around to stay. |

Never ever tell someone you love them if you don't mean it. We , my hubby and i have been married forever and we still tell each other we love each other quite a few time's a day. Nothing wrong in letting someone you love that you care for them. Best way to keep a relationship going and it never loses its value. You will tell the person you are with you love her if you really care for her. But it will irritate me if someone asks me that all the time just because they feel insecure or want you to prove that you love them by continuesly telling them so. |

You should explain this to her. Tell her you don't want the words to lose their meaning. Maybe she needs constant reassurance. Lots of women do. Instead of saying it, try showing her in different ways every day. Or don't say, "I love you." exactly. Say, "You are beautiful." or something else. After a while, you two won't say it as much but you will still know it. |

Please don't say it for the sake of saying it, you might even begin to resent her a little for feeling forced to say something you have no interest of saying all the time. Could it be that you don't love her as much as she loves you?
If you really love her, then let her know that people are different and have different ways of expressing their love. Just because you fell to tell her you loved her every hour does not mean that you don't. Have a really SERIOUS conversation, shed a few tears if you can (I'm serious). I do not know what you mean. I tell Grace that I love her ten times, no, twenty times every day. She wants to know. She thinks that I am too busy to think of her, and she wants reassurance. Even though she knows how I feel about her, she wants it. It does not go stale. She enjoys hearing it, and would be unhappy if I did not tell her. And I am a very soft-hearted man and do not like to see people unhappy. |

You don't have to do anything you don't want to do, that is freedom of choice, grow a pair.
I hardly ever say "I love you", it is meaningless and over romanticised drivel for the benefit of naive young school girls on American television, sadly, their naivity follows them into adulthood and has spread across the globe.
I do as others have stated do small things for her as a gesture such as running her bath, massaging her back or filling her car with petrol even though I never drive it (I hate doing that). |
