Why is it wrong in Egyptian culture to eat or bring food in in the bathroom?

I don't think it is religious.
I researched your question and I found a number of religious etiquettes attached to entering the bathroom but food isn't among them.
So I guess it is more cultural and done out of decency, maybe also out of respect towards the food, which is one of God's blessings.
Sometimes (or rather often) traditions and culture dictate what is right and wrong. These tales were probably handed down from one generation to the other in order to set the fact that the place for eating is the kitchen and the place for . . . . . . . . . is the bathroom.

I find this more of a sanitation issue then anything else!

Leave the food at the table, then come back after you've done your business! make sure you wash your hands too!

i think the devil hangs around the bathroom to see us naked, that is where the saying you dirty devil comes from so why bring him in food to enjoy as well.

1) Away from any religions .. Logically it is not healthy to do so .. It means no Sanitations

2) Concerning Religion.. It is forbidden Or haram cuz we recall the name of GOD or ALLA by saying "Besm Alla Alrahman Al rahem".. which means
"Begins with the name of GOD" .... So You can't say so in the Toilet

3) Actually am suffering from that problem with one of our relatives .. He Eats and drinks tea in the Bathroom ... I told him ... YOU MUTHA FUCKA ***** BASTARD DAMNED **** ... The bathroom is used for something else full of wonderful smell. I believe mixing the smell of food with the smell of **** makes a great combo.

Thank you God for the food ??? have you ever been hungry I bet not realy most of us hav not seen real hunger like what we hear & see in Africa or any where else just being poor & go to work without cofee for weeks. For the respect of food & God blessing .a good person eats in a proper place where angeles can enter. even if you Glade in the bathroom don't do it.

it is wrong bec it isnt healthy to eat or drink in a place full of microbes , viri , and bacteria .
matter coming out brom the bowels should not be in contact with what we eat or drink .
our appetite is gone in the bathroom.
after the mission is accomplished , we can eat and drink in a clean place.

Not really religious or cultural either.
Its just some superstition made up by religious extremists.Fanatics connect satan to everything, you can't date because "the third person is satan".
If you miss a prayer "satan will piss in your ears".You cannot listen to music because "satan will get to you".
If you want to hear more Satan myths you can mail me but to answer your question its not wrong to eat in the bathroom I do it sometimes or to be honest pretty often especially had to do it this ramadan when I am really starving while at work but I would say normally people don't eat in the bathroom unless due to some special reasons
