Why won't the Arab "brothers" do something for the Palestinians?

Almost all of them are rich as hell from all the oil money, but none of them want to come forward and help. Why is it so?

You mean, like grant dual citizenship? You mean, like not charge ridiculous prices for college tuition? In countries throughout the Arab world, it is damn well near impossible for many Palestinian refugees to attend college. Not without connections and corruption so that a given student pays the same as everyone else. In Saudi Arabia for example, college is free; you get admited, assuming you pass the difficult entrance exams, and its a free ride. Its not always like that elsewhere in the world, no matter where, college is expensive.

The short answer is because the Arabs are selfish arrogant turds like that, especially the oil rich ones. There, I said it, I tell it like it is. You know that, since the early 1970's, when Saudi princess, through studying business and making investments, the Al-Saud purchased many of the stocks of the oil companies that where in their country. Here is the short history;

At first, Britain and the U.S. had a monopoly over Arab oil, that is why in the 1940's, they were fully able to fight the Nazis, and why it took a while for British colonies to be granted their independence. However, the Al-Saud monarchy had their sons study business abroad, and from the peanut scraps that American and British oil companies gave them, they made investments, made large profits and with those profits, purchased large amounts of stock relating to British and American petroleum pretty soon owning so much, they were able to form Saudi Aramco. By the 1970's, most of Saudi oil was practically theirs, and that is when the oil wealth really began flowing in.

See though because Saudi Arabia was kept in a primitive condition for so long, unlike other parts of the Arab world that met with strong British influence, Saudi Arabia never went through cultural development, so, you can have a man versed in the use of cell phones, I-pods to listen to the Koran, laptops, and even some exotic Japanese technology but his mind, is still that of someone who lives in a tent in the desert. See, Saudi Arabia has access to the very best military technology from all the major economic and military super powers, but with the mind set of people from 500 years ago. Chew on that for a second.

And who is to blame for all this? Why, those tea swilling limmey bastards, and those beastly americans. I'm sorry, I just had to put in stereotypes there, I love stereotypes! At least, against white people. So anyway; the desert mindset is, resources are limited, and a rival tribe is nothing, but what resources your tribe has, are EVERYTHING.

If you were caught even GLANCING at a water well in the desert, the beduin will shoot you; that is how they are. No questions, no negotiation, you're caught near a water well that is not within your tribe's territory and they would simply kill you. Even though oil money provides so much revenue Saudi Arabia can literally buy everything it needs, their attitude towards their oil is the same as that of a primitive beduin tribe guarding its water well. That means, no sharing in the wealth, no sharing in the educational system in other words, a very beduin mentality regarding a "limited resource" even though with education someone could figure out a cheap way to desalinate the oceans but, alright....

What Palestinians need more than charity, is dual citizenship, and education, things neighboring Arab countries often have denied them for decades now, and because of the war in Iraq, Iraqis are finding themselves in much the same situation.

Ultimately though, I think Superman Prime should be unleashed on all of them!

The Palestinians do not need them.
They are the ones one day that will control the Arab world, because they deserve it.
The palestinians are getting rich in experience not in money.
We all saw how the Stock market almost broke down rich countries.
So they are on their own and I say : Good for them because they will succeed alone.
bye bye

Anonymous
they dont want to interfere. why? too preoccupied with other things.
you know all those songs being sung for palestine? like one by asi helani, and a lot more by a bunch of other singers. thats all the help they're gonna give. whats songs gonna do for us?
because some people refuse to help us, we help ourselves. we dont depend on others for anything. thats why we are always fighting on our own.
and what exaclty are the wealthy gonna do? but weapons? ya right. they are too busy partying and travelling.
i get upset when i think of things like this. if i begin talking, i wont shut up. so, i think i will stop right here for now.

have a nice day ^_^

All Palestinian resistance organizations receive extensive financial assistance from a variety of Arab states. That's why Hamas wasn't hurt by the U.S. cut-off of funding for the P.A. a few years ago,but Fatah was, since they lost the election but the U.S. recognized them as the "proper" representatives of the Palestinians,or more realistically the P.A. As to favoring emmigration of Palestinians to their various countries, that happens to be exactly what the zionists want in order to depoplulate Palestine of it's indiginous people,as you will surely see here from zionist postings. They would like nothing more than to hound them across the border. The Arab states would have be both foolish and cruel to accommadate that agenda since it would be tantamount to participating in their expulsion. If you are talking direct military intervention, that has always failed in the past, because in both 1948 and 1967 they enjoyed super-power backing, the U.S.S.R. in the first case and the U.S. in the second and continuing to this day. If Yemen were to challenge the blockade of Gaza they would be sunk by the izzies and the U.S. would shield them from UN sanctions. The Arab states do as much as they can,and Syria is risking it's international standing by it's support of the Palestinian resistance. Obviously we all find it shocking that Egypt will not open the Rafah crossing, but they are under the yoke of a U.S.-sponsored dictatorship,as much as Iran under the Shah.

Shadi
There is financial help but it goes all in Fatah leaders pockets.

The only way, Britan and Zionism managed to defeat and control Muslims and Arabs in by dividing them. They are not allowed to speak out or become one again. Because when they do become one again, it will be the last day in occupation.

Some leaders care for their chairs more than they care for their people, that explains the dictatorship system in these countries which is brought and supported by the west.

i suppose they are too busy trying to help themselves
once i put this question on Q/A
"Egyptians ...would you more proud if the two ships to Gaza were Egyptians"
i had then some answers not many but they can tell how do Arab thinks
what happened in demonstrations in Arab cities some lock these behind university bars or inside mosques or force controlled
what happened in Ismaeeleyyeh almost two months ago when simple people were trying to send aids to palestinians
the Palestinians wants to keep all happy and that is impossible
they would not allow any Arab country to have the slightest impression that Palestinians are not grate full and thank full and appreciating all efforts that they doing in between and internationally
i would not say here that there are no aids
i do not like to be mis understood
but the thing is the new world now has brought to each single country troubles of its own that the order of priorities now is differentsee the amounts of threats are put on those countries who might even think

Local Machine
Because only the Palestinians have guts.
Something that's missing from other people, no matter Muslim or Christian, Euro or American.
Their "Arab brothers" dont give sheet of what's happenin in Palestine and that's a fact.
The Machine has spoken.

Zeno
The Syrian is doing what little is can to regain Palestine. It must use proxies since direct intervention would meet with a powerful U.S. reaction.

Nada
Arabs do care, it's the Arab governments that are too scared to piss America off if they go against Israel. And all the oil money goes into their pockets, their people don't even see it.

ED
Muslims use each other to advance their cause, i.e. hate.

Before "Israel," Palestine was the main bridge between the countries in the Middle East and those in Africa. Theese countries are already significantly weakened now that this bridge is gone, a divided Middle East is a weak Middle East, and that is one of the main purposes for the creation of Israel. Aside from that, Egypt has completley sealed off its border, post its war with Israel. Israel has the United States, half of Europe, and many others already on their side, Egypt wouldn't dare to delibratley "attack" Israel, plus the fact that they already had been occuppied by British, and French soldiers. The four countries boardering Palestine are Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. Egypt we already discussed, Iraq as we know is in Civil war/occupation by Western forces, and Saudi Arabia is a political slave to the United States, and like Egypt, have their hands tied. Syria still has part of itself held by Israel, and has arrived out of war along with Egypt, and is no more significantly powerful than anyone else. To answer your question, they won't help becuse they can't help. Isreal has missles capable of targeting almost every city in the Middle East, with no excuse to set them off yet, and these countries know that. Why not set them off now? Well we wouldn't want another Hiroshima now would we, this would be ten times worse. Their goal is to keep Western citizens from opening their eyes. Dragon is right though about them secretly sending money, other than that, no one wants to show any sign of extensive support of Palestine. The only way to ensure hope is to reunite very strong ties diplomatically, the Palestinian governent would have to play a big role in this. In order to recreate the bridge, they are going to need to somehow make a seperation between them and Israel, perhaps feed into Jordan. What we need is Palestine to be politically active, not in signing peace treaties that are only destined to be broken, but by restrengthening the Middle East, only then will Israel very slowly begin to be pushed out.

Duane
They do a lot. If they do it financially they are accused "supporting terrorism". If they do it militarily they are smashed from the sky by the U.S.-supplied IAR. But they still do it,particularly Syria, which I think should be respected for that. Damascus is still the secular leader of the Arab world.

Arabs hate "palestinians" why do you think they are treated like garbage everywhere they go?

Authentic Believer (SOA)
The Arabs care...believe me, big time. But their governments instead of Fearing God they fear the U.S and they suck up to them like hell. And please, please, please PLEASE DO NOT mistake the Palestinian issue as an ARAB issue!!!!! It is a MUSLIM issue, and ALL Muslims have the responsibility of bring victory, because Muslims are in trouble, so don't think the Muslims in Pakistan, India, Iran, Turkey, etc should be just watching and thinking they have nothing to do with it.

Muslims cannot win this battle until we unite. Where is the amry of Saudi Arabia? Yemen? Syria? Iran? Turkey? Where is the army of Egypt? Algeria? Morroco? Where is the army of Libya? Somalia? Where are the weapons of Pakistan? Where are the Mujahideen...I gots no clue. If someone would volunteer to pay for my ticket and supplies I'd be happy to go..

Arab leaders need this problem - it keeps people away from real problems in their countries.

Ironically Israel IS the only country to actually do something really good for those Gaza, Judea and Samaria Arabs.

egypt fought israel in order to help palestinians before and we lost Sinai once and also we tried to get Palestine to sign a peace treaty . Egypt provided Gaza with electricity when Israel cut the power plant off and food and we do take the injured people into our hospitals and take care of them for free and we do also provide financial help.
Why did Yasser Arafat not sign a peace treaty back then? Opening the Rafah crossing means giving israel exactly what it wants which is to push the Palestinians out of their homeland. Once the Palestinians are given a chance to runaway this would mean good bye to Palestine for once and for all but if we kept the wall closed this would force the Palestinians to stay and continue fighting for their cause.
After reading some of the comments there's more i wish to say but i think i better not.

Mr. Smartypants™
If they "help" the Palestinians, then Israeli leaders will accuse them of antisemitism and that they are funding terrorists or some other nonsense. And when people try to help them they get suicided, like that Palestinian a river.

At least Ahmedinijad is speaking out about the self determination of Palestinians.

Duke of Tudor
NYC Chutzpah made a good point. Arab governments need something to fan their hatred for Israel. Palestine is their best reason.

Jordan is doing everything it can and the House of Saud has provided considerable financial support. Iran is curently providing training and logistical support. On three seaprate occasions Arab states have gone to war for Palestine. Everyone is doing a great deal, although Egypt defected. But the zionists are supported by the world's most powerful and dangerous government.

"Why won't the Arab "brothers" do something for the Palestinians?
Almost all of them are rich as hell from all the oil money, but none of them want to come forward and help. Why is it so?"

Since 1948, the Arab League has steadfastly stuck to their guns in regards to Palestine and Israel, in other words the Arab League has kept its own interests at hand while denying that there is a problem with "Palestine". Simce 1948 the Arab League has, on more than 5 occasions decided not to give their people the land which was decided by concensus. Syria and Jordan specifically are the worst offenders, the land they occupy was to be part of palestine, but no one wanted to share the land, they just wanted the jews dead. And today, it is in the Arab/Muslims own interest to continue the degradation and subjugation of their own people in order to maintain the hate against Israel which they hope will one day result in the destruction of Israel and the jews. If the Arabs and Muslims really wanted peace they would not be subjecting theor people to the horrors we see happening today. Yes they have lots of money, but there is no thought of sharing it, they only give enough to keep the Palestinians down. Muslims and Arabs are to blame, 100%.

Aaron
I dont know. but its really sad, it seems like Israel is the only country that helps the palestinians

Well, they do secretly send money for weapons.
Unfortunately, this just creates more misery.

So that the arab countries can direct the anger of their populations towards Israel rather towards the arab leaders.
