Why wont the Jews in Israel hurry up and rebuild the temple?

According to the Jewish law, the temple can only be rebuilt when the messiah arrives. Until then, it cannot be rebuilt.

edit: even though the arabs claim the area where the temple is, and there is already an arab building there, even if Israel had all of that land they still wouldn't rebuild it, because of what i said in my first answer.

The reason why we can't rebuild the Temple is because the ground (of the original Temple) is occupied by the Dome of the Rock and that is the property of the Muslims. And Jews are not allowed to go any where near it.

Another reason is that some believe that we can't rebuild the Temple until the Messiah comes.

So yeah that's why we aren't able to rebuild the Temple at this particular time.

We do not have to rebuild the temple; we believe it will be rebuilt soon after the Jewish messiah arrives.

Mainly because the 'dome of the rock' is sitting on the original site- where they are supposed to rebuild. You know- the 'dome of the rock'... where they enshrine a meteorite...

Because, if they have the right to break down their mosques to rebuild their temple on arab land, then the Muslims have the right to retake their temple down and rebuild their mosques.

Great question. First I want to say that Jews did not enslave Black people ex My great great great grandfather fought for the North in the Civil War and died at Gettysburg. His broiher's house in Cleveland Ohio was a stop on the underground railway. We can't build the Temple because there is a Mosque there.
