They will want to do something to whip up a lot of nationalist fervor and the Gaza is demonstratably defenseless. That was the point of the "incursion" last month. The IDF wanted to test out their response,see what they had. The answer was: not much. They will go in soon.

Im gona be surprised if they dont, I just heared Olmert saying that all that huge army movements is for exercise not to bomb Lebanon,Gaza or Syria.

They are coming back in and they intend to reoccupy and keep it that way. Frankly,it would be a good opportunity Syria and Hezbollah to regain the Golan heights. The IDF can't be everywhere at once. Yes. They will attack even without provoking. I pray for Hamas and the Palestinian people. Although Hamas is determined, their weapons are no match for the American weapons the "Israeli" Occupation Forces (IOF) uses. I think it is very unfair to arm the Jews to the teeth, while Hamas has nothing. If they fight with whatever they have they are labeled "terrorist" bs. The Jews think that they are not answerable to God about their crimes, they think they are immortal and invincible. Assuming there isn't a joint US/Israel attack on Iran, Lebanon and Syria.

I don't think they will use their 60th birthday as a pretext. Most likely, what will happen is a 13-year-old Palestinian refugee in Romania will give the finger to Israeli tourist. This will be construed not only as the proof of unremitting hatred by Arabs for Jews but also as an aggressive attack on Israel, and Israel will "pre-emptively" attack Gaza to prevent any further aggression - but before the 60th birthday as Israel would like to kill thousands in Gaza before then so it can celebrate it with triumphant singing and dancing.

Of course I could be wrong, perhaps the 13-year-old will only make a face at the Israeli tourist and scare his children, but as the saying goes, any excuse is good enough for a tyrant.

if the palestinian leaders will not face reality and accept the existance of israel, after 60 years, but rather, like some people here will continue to call for its destruction, and this call will bring forth attacks against israel, israel will have to defend itself.
all the arabs have to do is declare peace on us, see what happens then!
as to being cagey, there's a saying, he who was burnt by hot water, is careful with cold water.

You have a really messed up idea of what's going on in Israel.
You're talking about Israel as they are a group of blood-thirsty people murdering Gazan people for their joy.
Lemme tell you that, Israelis are nothing different from you,
as I suppose you won't kill anyone for no reason, neither will they.
You might be mistaking Israelis for Palestinians, as recently they were celebrating and giving out candies for children in Gaza after committing a terrorist attack and killing 8 teens in the ages of 15-19.
Israelis are nothing like that...
The IDF (Israeli defense force, not IOF as someone said above) will NOT attack Gaza most probably, if there will not be any attempts to commit a suicide attack or to plant mines. What they are going to do for sure, is to tighten the protection on the borders.

I wish you could go and visit in Israel and in the Gaza strip to get a real idea of who Israelis are, and who Palestinians are, and what is the real situation.
