I like the idea very much. But I don't think it should be for Egyptians only, as the previous answerer said, as (from my cosmopolitan point of view) I see no reason for this kind of dividing or isolation. There are a lot of people who are not Egyptians, but do like Egypt very much and are interested to know about her (me included :). Another thing, I find it much better and much useful for (any) people to communicate with people from all over the world, not only from their own neighborhood. So, I am for the group of people fond of Egypt, not Egyptians only. Hope that is what you have in mind.

There are so many groups and chat sites now, you might get lost in the mix. If you do this, make sure you have rules that are fair, just and consistant. Sort of how you should raise a child come to think of it.

Invitation only groups are very clickish and tend to become harsh to the outside world. Make a day or three a month when there is no restrictions to balance and check yourselves against the world. If your group becomes very radical, they will begin to shrink as members get frustrated.

www.cool-minds.com I made this site long time ago, actually it is a forum, I wanted to gather all my internet friends, but now no one is using it since I was so busy lately with studies for my gratuation year.
I found the people in this category are very cool, so you can use cool-minds.com and invite whoever you want, you may want to invite other ppl from other categories.

I think this is a fantastic idea. It will give Egyptians, in particular the now generation a place to freely communicate and talk about topics that are just a bit out of place on a Travel site.
There are enough Egyptian regulars here to make it a successful and productive site or blog,that can only have positive outcomes.
Yahoo have free "group" sites available,but make sure you have a moderator and guidelines.
I do suggest that you make it for Egyptian nationals only.
So guys don't just talk about it, do it .
Hope its a great success and you all get a lot of fun and opportunity to exchange ideas and information.
