as the less violent, angry, sex i think a lot of things would be better if it were run by women. most women already run their households, and countries. i think they could manage to drive taxis better than men, in fact there aren't very many things men do better than women.

so to answer your question yes there would be a difference, for the better.

About the taxis ... I hardly notice them in Pretoria ... but in Durban- yikes!! Maybe woman drivers would be better ... but its a mans business - would they be safe when rival taxi operators were fighting with them for business?

Anyway its good to hear you had a nice experience. I think that white woman drivers are pretty bad in Gauteng, they are rude ... and thats coming from another white woman driver!!

Yes no doubt about it.
The man are a problem to everyone in the taxi and also out side the taxi.
And I am sure the taxi's would be much cleaner and in better condition then now.

The male taxi drivers are just bad news.

I think women would be better at this job as we by nature want to protect and not harm. I see more and more woman taxi drivers doing the school route.

Yeah..it would definately be better if women controlled the world..and men would have to take a backseat and listen..lol. But in reality i think it would be better if taxi drivers were women.

I doubt that it is the answer. There should just be tougher rules and regulations for taxis etc, as they put so many peoples lives at risk at any one time it is unbelievable.

I would share the road with any taxi drivers if they drive better

I a weeks time about 3 taxis almost crashed into me just because they were not obeying the road rules
I mean since when can you drive in the emergency lane or on the gravel road in traffic time only to try to get in again in the front and if you don't give them space they blame you and throws lights at you etc

They might be good drivers but will be bad for business in the taxi trade in South Africa. People do like to get there eventually and there is nothing as bad as a 'Slow Daisy' with PMS!

Anyway, if you think about the fact that taxis is only all about money (and Inno I know you won't agree as usual) but that is why they always drive like they do, because the more pickups and drop-offâ€™s the more money they make (see I had a black man explaining it to me), therefore, I think if the women will start making money on it, they might just do the same!

But then again, we're talking about women, and we are polite, sensual, elegant, and of course, FEMALE! It might just work with a little bit of, as Paula from 7de Laan would say: Je'Nesequa!!!!

I have had a total of four accidents. One was my own mistake as I didn't want to rest. Fell asleep behind the wheel. The other involved a male driver. I was not on the wrong side. Two involved women and I was not on the wrong side.

Based on this, I don't believe so.

Your real question is , Are Women better drivers than Men? That should elicit quite a debate but as for Taxi drivers perhaps you should also look at the Taxi owners who put tremendous pressure on the drivers. I am not excusing Taxi drivers but it is a cut throat business and they are the front men. In any event South Africans in general are discourteous drivers in comparison to drivers in Europe. They can handle a car OK but their manners leave a lot to be desired.

I dont think there would be a difference. Woman drivers are bad, taxi drivers are bad, so woman taxi drivers would be bad!!!
