Definitely I would accept, as I actually did so when they came to Tel Aviv - I encountered them in Rabin Square, which is the plaza shown right at the beginning of the video posted by subxerorock.
Hopeless - you are right that hugging cannot instantly solve the world's problems, any more than songs for peace, or discussions on websites such as this. But all of these things can enable us to relate to each other a bit more positively, which certainly wouldn't hurt, so there's really no reason not to embrace them all as an initial step - in these situations literally...
Edit to Ivri below - fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering, these are the wisest words ever spoken by a Muppet. Anything which reduces fear, anger, and hate can be a small step towards bringing an end to the suffering. |

Oh that's cool they have that in Israel as well. We have that group in my college campus so I have to 'accept the gift' everyday..even when I'm late for class lol |

Sure! People hugging each other are obviously better than people killing each other! |

Absolutely! I've heard of the Free Hugs campaign in various parts of the world, but never in a million years did I think it would work with a mixed Arab-Jewish population. This is fantastic and thank you for sharing it, Muslim By Choice.
Hugs not only feel good but they also help the body's immune system and decreases depression and stress. Hugging in Jaffa also helps both sides see - and treat - each other with warmth and like fellow human beings. I hope it not only keeps going but spreads to other parts of Israel/Palestine! |

Grrr. I don't like it when someone share this kind of video clip. LOOOL. Just kidding, Muslim by choice. It's a touching clip. Free hug is a gesture of goodwill and friendship. Thank you for sharing. I hope one day we all here can meet in Jerusalem or any other cities in Israel to hug each other :) |

I don't know. I can't understand.
I listened to the song twice now. May some more. Sounds like rock and roll to me. I never listen to the words anyway.
I rate this one star. |

It depends who is going to hug me!!
muslem by choice:
I am sorry to say no, I will not accept it, because it is not just simple to forget sixty years of pain and forgive all the crimes for a hug. |

as long as everyone showers and doesnt put a lot of perfume on so that it smears on whoever they're hugging. |

No I wouldn't. I forget which country started this idea first. But a hug is not going to bring peace many other productive ways to spend the day.
We could go out and hug trees but would that save the environment? Cheers! |

No.
This is preposterous!
Terror attacks are taking place every day. Today the radical Mulsims blew off the legs of an 8-year old Israeli boy.
Hugs willnot solve this problem.
