I am sure you just wanted to get a kick out of people bashing Islam, right? Suicide is haram in Islam. You cannot commit suicide in Islam and go to heaven. I consider myself a good believer (not pious but a true Muslim) and I would never contemplate suicide.

For the person who said that is a cult, not a religion: You need to look up what a cult is. It's any group or organization that meets on a regular basis. Therefore: a church group is a cult, any club that meets is a cult, a scout troop is a cult... A cult doesn't necessarily mean a group of "bad" people.

I think it's a good way to reduce total world population. Population reduction through attrition - with no guilt on any of the parties involved.

I bled for what was then proudly a Christian nation and I'm not a bit sorry.
I was a volunteer. Regular Army . Not a draftee.
I could have gotten out of combat altogether. At any time. No one demanded a sacrifice. No one told me I would go to heaven for my actions of violence. War is something you strive to survive. Not an excuse to die.

No, although figuratively every religion asks you to commit suicide.
Allah asks you to sacrifice yourselves for 42 virgins.
God asks you to take death over the mark of the beast.
Greek Gods suggest that people must give sacrifice.
Mayans believed they had to sacrifice (willing) people to the gods.
I'm sure there is more examples, but you get my drift right?
