I would love first to make a comment about all those answers from the american dues, as usual they are selfish and ignorants not all of them but most to of whom say such answers like those, my comment is " no body of us could pick his or her Mother so it is as home, might be not good Mom but you still love her. I am sure such people as they said those kind of mean answers not even love them selves so they would not understand me.
Last thing, i am sure Egypt is not the best country, i am sure Egypt is not the cleanest country and you could add 100 bad stuff but it is my Mother land and I love it and I dunn like to hear any idiot say such sucks words about it. And every body should know especially the Jew's brothers that Egypt one day had feed all the world. it is mentioned in old and new testament . thanks |

I just tell you why, eventually, not: hard to settle there for a non-egyptian citizen. Not able to bargain. (Not driving a car, dependant on taxis ...). Emigrating is practically not so easy as we can think (or better, immigrating in another Country, is a matter of being an immigrate, with all the negative experience this can deserve you. Problems related also to the different political asset there, compared to the one in my countryhome). [Nothing against Egypt itself: maybe setteling there is going to remain just a dream. Apparently it is a very fascinating place. Land of contrasts. This enraptures me. I like Arabic written and spoken and I must admit there are some very handsome people there: this is a sort of very beautiful "landscape"! But relations with Egyptians seem to be not very easy: different habits. Like also listen to mawzeen: it has a sort of hipnotical effect on me. Sort of drug?]. |

well i have been there a few years ago and its a wonderful place to see all the wall pictures and mostly the hugh pyramids. You cannot imagine how big it is until you see live for yourself. As for the temperature it is too much to bear. Even as i live in Malaysia i even cannot take the heat. Anyway it all sums up that living there is a no no for me. Not use to the food and heat. |

Right now, it's a battle cuz things here aren't well, egypt that was once better than Europe is now suffering from you know who and i don't mean lord voldemort, i mean his evil twin brother.
If socially and financially things were fine, then yeah in a heartbeat. |

yes and yes and yes
i have been there 4 times before and if u have the right money u can live in uptown cairo as in maadi or misr algidida or heliopolis like my wife suggests or a flat on the sea in alexandria.
It is cheap and beautifal and if u have an airconditioned life it is not so hot
i guess it is a matter of taste you cant ask an eskimo to love india ....it is love ,,,,like a woman u cant all love the same woman so not everyone can love it
i am iraqi i love egypt and i would like to retire there

Honestly, I think Egypt is beautiful and it would be a great experience to live there. But, I'd only live there if I was single/or maybe if I was married.. I'd live with my husband for a few years. It seems relaxing, and you just take a boat trip to spain/france/italy. What I wouldn't really like is the hot weather, I'm more of a cold weather person. |
