When I get extra money it is usually $ € GBP so I keep it in my flight bag. I use to not say anything and then take the money and have a surprise like a weekend away. So it is not a secret for ever. |

KrazyMuddles

Yes, my dear, you should share the money cos should your partner by any means discover you had the extra money and you never mentioned it to him/her, your integrity, love and trust is on the line. So pls share and y'know it could be really great and fulfilling sharing cos you care, and one good turn deserves another. |

Yes without a doubt |

Zack

No not unless they needed cash would I inform them. I mean if it doesn't affect them in any way why inform them |

Per agreement my wife handles ALL the money in the family.I don't know what she would do with a "rand" though, we live in Reno NV. |

I would definitely share if it was that much. If it was only a few hundred, it wouldn't matter weather I shared or not. |

Depends what your partner is like - my ex is an alcoholic and if he knew I had extra cash it would be gone on booze so in that situation no I wouldn't had said anything and spent it on my kids but in an ideal relationship yes you should tell him/her as you are a partnership :-) |

Piltdown Man
Definitely would, we don't have any secrets from each other. Plus, I'd prefer to spend money on others rather than myself. |

yes and hope if my partner was in that position he would do the same :) |

Yeah of course I would. I would book a surprise holiday for the two of us.
What's mine is my boyfriend's, and what's his, is mine. |

OBVIOUSLY YES !!! |

Hennie
Yes. I can't keep anything a secret. |

Yes i will share with my partner, only if that week he did not make me mad |

yes, then you could both enjoy spending it.
I know so many woman who spend money and then hide it from their husbands. I think its so dumb.
Then I know a husband that hides his bonuses and increases from his wife because he is scared that she will spend it ... I really cant imagine how either set of people could be happy. |

I most certainly would, after I had spent it of course. But don't worry she has total control of all of the money so I regard it as a challenge to get one past her, she finds it funny. |

jazzie
Yes I would share it, as we share everything. |

Skyli
Yes I would tell him because I'd except him to tell him but that doesn't mean he will get his hands on it! hehe
However, I would treat him to something as he is always sharing his money when ever he can. |

Nay
I would tell my partner. I'm normally free to do with my money as I please. But generally I would do something for the both of us. . . |

Yes I would, but not like you probably think...
I would keep quiet about it, but I would take my partner out to the Spur or to the Wimpy or wherever I know he likes to eat.
I would pay for his dinner while he will not know how much I really have gained so unexpectedly.
This was an interesting question.
Thanks for asking.... |

Ya Umm!
I would, and I will surprise him with a wonderful gift that he always wanted. |

i would keep it all to myself. if i tell my wife, she will want that Prado bag or new shoes at one of those expensive boutiques |

cheri
I will buy him a model car or something i know he wants, it's always worse if you lie and get caught out later |

Cameo
Um.... if I wasn't married I wouldn't share it, haha. I would buy them something very nice though. But if I were married/living together I'd probably share it, but keep a large sum for myself. |

I might treat him to a meal, but will keep the money for myself. After all, it is my money. He would also say that. When I won R7 500 in the lotto, then he also said I must decide what to do with it, because it is my money. Of course, if he got some money, I would expect him to give me some. After all, he already earns way more than I do. |
