Well it depends what part you mean. I have been to the Middle East and most of it is safe now and un touched my war. The UAE is a great place to visit. Jordan is supposed to be nice and it is safe. Bahrain and Qatar and Kuwiut are safe. I had friends who went to Lebanon last year but I guess it ain't safe now. Iran was safe until the Americans started messing that up. Personally I would love to go to Iran. Me and my husband are hoping to go if a war doesn't start. I lived in Afghanistan for work during the war and I would like to go back in 10 years and see how things have changed. I would go to Iraq if it ever stabilizes to. Then again I am not American or British so I don't think any one is so offended by my presents. Although I think it is mostly Americans that people are leary of. I love the Middle East and will go back again and soon. |

As much as I would love to visit Petra, I don't believe the region would be free of people that want to murder Americans by then. |

I would. I'd go there now, if I could afford it. I did a study abroad over there a few years ago and loved it. I was able to travel to 3 different countries. There are some amazing places, and not all of it is being bombed all the time. I've been itching to get back to that part of the world since I left after studying there. |

As long as I knew I was safe, I would visit any country on this planet. I've been to the middle east, and many other countries - even right after major events have occurred and have not had any problems, and oftentimes, you realize that the news breeds this fear into us that does not happen to be the reality of the people who are just trying to live their daily lives. It's like this upper echelon of people that you see and hear about in the news or on billboards who run things, but have no real connection to the day to day lives of the culture. Like in the U.S., we see politicians on the news or billboards all the time, but they don't really affect our day to day lives, I mean we still go out, eat dinner, visit places - I'm speaking purely from that state of mind, as far as still enjoying our surroundings, same goes for us when we travel... also consider that we never cross paths with those politicians, or furthermore, neither do we cross paths with the fanatics we see or hear about... in our day to day lives... |

ofcourse..why not? The war has been going on for the past 100 years and will be going for the next 100 years to come. Whats to stop me, I'll be on a tour bus with a bunch of americans, there will be a minimal fear of getting blown up |

why not! there is nothing wrong with visiting that country. . anywhere we go there is danger. . just because there is war now in the place would mean that people are dangerous in that place too.. . . wake up you people . .it's only in the minds that we think there is danger. . |

I will say yes in some part of the middle-east. Kuwait, UAE Egypt are OK.

The war has never ended and will never end!
Your question is somewhere up there with, "If pigs could fly, would we still eat bacon?" |

If the political, peace and order situation is suitable for spending holidays, why not? The most important thing is to guarantee our safety and security. |

they have all the money in the world, and some smart people living there. If they could get rid of the corrupt leaders and the religious problems it might be worth visiting, lots of history there. |

Nope. I've spent enough time in the southwestern U.S. to know I don't want to see another desert again. |
