The Blue bull

Your most favorite breakfast, what is it and how often?

I usually just have coffee and lots of home baked rusks. But if anyone wants to spoil me, then please take me out to a brunch buffet - one of those all-you-can-eat places for about 6 to 8 Euros with bottomless coffee. It includes muesli, cereals, fruit, joghurt, cottage cheese, vanilla and choc pudding, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cold meats and a few salads, croissants and bread rolls. We usually do that about 3 or 4 times a year, unfortunately. The Sunday breakfast buffets are more expensive, but then also with sparkling wine.

On days when im late it usually Muesli & yoghurt. During Winter i love oats or wheat-bix with hot milk.

Then over the weekend or when i have time to spoil myself, it's A full farm breakfast with bacon, eggs, sausages or wors, tomato, & toast. Yummy!

Hi;
Usually I only have breakfast over the week-end because that is when my grand children come to visit, but then I make a big pot of putu pap and serve it with a tomato/onion sheba and boerewors and an egg but for those who prefer it, pa and milk is availabe also....
Sometimes I also do a snoek braai bfore anyone gets up and serve that with apricot jam and stywe pap...
(apricot jam makes a wonderful basting for snoek on a braai)...

At home: a bowl of mealie or oats pap, drenched in butter, sugar and milk. I eat this maybe 1 every 2 months or so.
When at a restaurant: I don't like bacon and eggs, so I'll order something from the regular menu and not the breakfast one.

Mine would also be an omelette, one with melted Mozzarella cheese, fried diced onions and tomatoes and some sliced olives and chilly sauce (hot).
Maybe once every 2 or 3 months.

Oats with chopped fruit in it. I'm a night person and for years now only have jobs where I work in the night. So I'm lucky that I have the time each morning to have this breakfast. Only sometimes do I eat toast with marmelade and some boiled eggs.

Vegetarian breakfast from Nulla Nulla: poached eggs, hash brown, toast, baked beans, avocado, haloumi, mushrooms and wilted spinach... but I can only eat a tiny bit of everything, then I make my husband eat the rest!

Oh and I eat it probably once a fortnight.
