Why would anyone in their right mind want to change this name it's perfect, here is why:

1. Masr (is mentioned in the Holy Quran) when God (SWT) ordered Moses(PBUH) and his followers to go down to Masr. What an Honor for our country to be mentioned by its name.

2. The name Egypt is derived from the Greek word Aegyptos which in turn was derived from a Greek transliteration of the ancient term Het-Ka-Ptah. To read more about its meaning and why it is so unique u could read these websites.

3. Our country has a history of over 7000 years, i am quite sure we don't need to create a new name and history for ourselves.

i wouldn't. Egypt is one of the first civilization and has more history than most other countries. SO if Egypt was a good enough name for all those years, why change it now. Egypt's awsome.

I perfectly agree with Hope. She took the words right out of my mouth. Instead of finding another name for our beloved country, go find another name for yourself since you are no man's land. Egypt is our land.
