Better for what? Canada is more like the US culturally so you get a better cultural experience in China. However you know the language and the customs in Canada so would that be better. You should write a list of Pros and Cons then go from there

China - without a doubt.
As stated before - if you live in the U.S. - you can go to Canada anytime. Whether this is long term or short term, you will eventually be glad you had the experience of China.
Good Luck.

Are you talking about moving or visiting? Is this permanent or for several years? How old are you?

I'd agree with most of the posters and say if you are from a western country than the US, then a stay in China would be great.

If you are young, though, and education is an issue, though, you might ask what your educational opportunities in China will be. That's important, that you have a school that is good for you and you can feel comfortable with. Finding such would be easier in Canada, but is not impossible in China.

I get the impression this is a long term choice - like you're moving, since you said it will change your whole life. So how outgoing are you? How interested in new and strange things? How adventurous are you? How interested in learning a new language? The more you feel "very" in relationship to these questions the better China would be. In the other direction is Canada.

But Canada is safe. So think about it. Only you can know the answer for you.

Canada. They know English very well. And in China no one does. If you want to go where people can understand you Canada. I like it there too.

China!! I've been to both and the culture of China is awesome!! However, you would be farther from your friends here in the states to visit...

Oh well, China has 3 billion people..you'd make new ones!!

Canada.

China is very polluted, and you can kiss unrestricted internet useage goodbye.

your reason for going should give you the answer. why are you going is it just for a trip or do you want see something specific. there are many things to consider . do speak Chinese. Canada is very much like the states. China is very different. both countries can be beautiful so either way it will be a nice trip. the only thing that I would worry about is illness China has stuff like bird flu and such.

Go to China. If you're from the US you can go to Canada anytime, China is more of a once in a lifetime type of trip.
