Obviously the first luxury to go is foreign holidays so airplanes are last thing people can afford , and I foresee, by end of this year a lot more peoples jobs will be 'going 'and no one will be running big cars, but buses and trains will ferry more passengers and people will take holidays in the UK to tighten their budgets, fuel to fill planes is costly and this cuts across the whole board.

Many employers are making overtime cuts and no one is buying homes ,so from builders to taxi drivers there is no money and no work .Many people face losing jobs all across the UK now we are headed for a complete nose dive in all our industries. People with savings are delving into them.

Debt agencies are flooded. It is nothing fishy. It is life in 2008 ,am afraid.

fuel prices have gone very expensive

Stunner 16 :)
Fuel prices gone up!

R a c h (:
Theres nothing 'fishy' about it.
Its just because the price of fuel is going up so much that the airline companies are struggling to pay for it and with the credit crunch people arent going abroad so much so the companies arent getting enough income.

Fuel costs have killed them.

They have been hoping to ride it out but no chance.

Main reason they have all gone bust together is they were praying for miracle. The high volume holiday season is over, they have taken max. amount of money in from the punters (us) but they now have to start paying their hotel, fuel supplier, etc. bills and can't.

Some airlines can not pay for fuel so that's why their are going bust .

Ryanair Boss Micheal "THE MOUTH" O' Leary, while not predicting the spate of of Little Problems his Planes are having warned of what happens when fuel price might rise.
Even he could not guess the passenger under the Mushrooms would have a Mushroom allergy but did see if oil prices went up many airlines had to go down.
How we hate to see him right but he did think forward in the last crisis he ordered his new Boeings at a very cut price hope that Boeing did not cut corners as well as prices as his planes appear to be having a lot of incidents for a fleet so new.
He will claim his planes to incidents is a low ratio, still prefer to travel where the incident rate is lower still.
In the Airline shake out in Europe they will be a big winner but will we ever ENJOY their standard of service no matter what the price, certainly not with a young family with luggage ,strollers and an elderly relation in tow.
