It depends on what airline. Coach on Singapore Airlines is still pretty good. You can go to www.seatguru.com to find out how wide the seat is as well as the seat pitch or how far it is from the seat in front of you.

depends on the airline. Most US carriers, there is not much difference between US / American / United / Delta / Continental, though at least on the latter you still get something to eat at mealtimes!

"Coach" and "Economy Class" are the same thing. Check out the website of the Airline offering seats in the "Coach" section. That will give you an idea of what to expect ie: seat configuration, seat pitch, amenities, level of service etc.

stevemcc1972
That would entirely depend on your definitions of Nice and Crappy. Coach is one step up from Cargo Hold but is the most economical (for a reason).

Pretty crappy to be honest! Sorry

coolbreeze
it's not really crappy but ya crappy

I always fly coach - it's the cheapest, but would rather be flying first class! But even those coach tix are expensive. I'm flying to Hong Kong in three days - cost me $2000 for the "coach" ticket!

Its nice, but I'd rather be in first class. =)

Short3Gears
95% of the seats are coach... that is how most people fly. and for the amount of time you are actually sitting on an airplane, it is not worth paying extra for 1st class....
