Usually the underwire bra doesn't set it off. However, if it does, you'll just be wanded (which takes about a minute).

And you can pack any size liquids in your checked baggage.

underwire bras..... hmmmmm.
People are asked to take their shoes off as they approach and put them in a basket as they go through the detectors these days because some shoes have enough metal to be detected. While I highly doubt that you'll have a problem, my immature immagination is having a great time contemplating a parallel solution.....! Glad to be of 'support'! Just kidding and have a great flight!

No they do not...

You can put any size in your checked bag as long as it isn't considered a dangerous good, i.e. flammable, etc.

I have never had underwire set of the alarm.
Under 3 oz. you are allowed to have in your carry on.
Over 3 oz must me in your checked luggage.
Might as well just put everything in your checked luggage just to be safe. Have a great trip!

I dunno about the under-garments.
You can pack more than 3-oz -size containers of liquid, in your checked luggage.

I've not had any problems with underwires setting off the security dectector.

You can take any size liquid if it's in your checked baggage. However, I would suggest you still put it in a zip lock bag, so if it's handled roughly during baggage handling, you don't end up with a suitcase full of shampoo - yuck!

Any liquids going into the cabin with you have to go through security in a quart size, resealable bag, and must each be less than 3 oz. You'll need to take the bag out and send it through the machine separate from your bag, so pack it on top or in a pocket of your carry-on that's easy to reach and easy to repack.

Depends.
If you look like a good white Brit/American, you are safe. Otherwise, sets off or not, you will be searched.
Not to mention, Brits don't use the wand, they use hands.

Undergarments don't set off the metal detectors.

Any liquid or gel has to be in a quart size bag even if it's under 3oz.

the metal detector should not go off, but if it does they'll use the wand - no big deal.

the 3 oz limit is for carryon only.
