Alcohol On A Plane?

Can you take alcohol on a plane? I am only talking about 2 bottles of bacardi which will be in my suitcases so i can have them on my holiday, not during the flight. Is this allowed?

yes you can, if it's already in your suitcase then it will be in the hold. If it's intended as hand luggage then, as long as you buy it in Duty-Free after you have passed through the X-ray and security inspection. Any liquids before that point must be less than 125ml and put in a plastic bag (which the airport supplies). However, after you have passed through security then you can buy bottles of duty free and take them on board but you will not be allowed to open them on board.

As others have said, there are strict rules about liquids in cabin luggage but liquids bought 'airside' (e.g. duty free) are exempt. You can't consume duty free on board and many countries have a limit of 1 litre of spirits that can be imported.
You can try putting more in your luggage but you'll probably have paid more for it in the UK than where you're going.
You can't put duty free in your luggage because you'll have checked it in before you got to the duty free shops.

Yes and no,
If its in your suitcase it doesn't fall under the restrictions inposed on the hand luggage.
However most countries will only allow 1litre of duty free alcohol to be imported. if you have purchased your bacardi in an off licence or supermarket and have paid the VAT, keep the reciept because this is not classed as duty free due to you having already paid the tax. If you have no proof of purchase customs can recharge you for the duty on the alcohol again.

Suzie's_Secret_Society
I don't think so dude!

Not any more, unless they are less than 3 oz. This has screwed up a lot of alcohol businesses that sell in the airports.

Yes you can take them in your suitcase, unless you are going to somewhere like Kuwait or Saudi Arabia. Be aware that your case gets banged around in the luggage handling system so make sure bottles are very well protected. Do you really need to take drink with you? In most countries its much cheaper to buy it when you get there and Bacardi is an international brand, so there shouldn't be a problem in finding it.

Hiya, Where are you going? i dont see why not if it's locked in your suitcase. And at duty free it all depends where your destination is.and if they will let you buy it for your destination. Why not use the locally produced BWS, from the country you are visiting.they are just as good and are cheap. That way you will have less weight in your suitcase.

I think you should be OK but if your going abroad buy it there it's almost certain to be cheaper where your going.

no way to take it to the cabin and I guess only 1 liter per person in the bag, and it doesn`t matter if you have 2 bags

if it is your checked luggage it can, but if it is carry-on, sorry, but no.
the new rule is 3-3-1
3 containers, of 3 ounces each, in 1 quart size ziploc bag.

Bubba13
no you can not. but you can mail them home

depending on whether u r travelling within the e.u.or not.Usualy u r not allowed more than1litre of alcohol and not more than 70% vol with u . but nobody is telling u not to take a chance u might not get stoped but thats the risk u take.

Gecko
If they don't allow it, you can take it in in your stomach !!
