they might ask you to drink out of it so be prepared for that. Also, why don't you just bring the entire unopened bottle? they are much less likely to hassle you for that. Also if you do take the water bottle, just relax and don't look too nervous. |

i know people who take alcohol in checked luggage when they travel. i think you should leave it in its original bottle too because if they have something to say about at least you wont look sneaky
i think the issue is more so with carry on, not checked |

A cruise ship or an aircraft? I do beleive that some airlines sell alcohol if you ask them. Ans a cruise ship should have a bar of some sort, but im not sure what the security protocol is where you are. |

I don't think it's illegal to put a bottle of vodka in your luggage.
Or you could stop at a liqour store in the cab ride from the airport to the cruise ship. |

beware ! besides ? yes they do check , get a fine or they trow it out ..........you may purchase some but not bring your own .......
in your luggage you may have some but check with your airline on the rules ? new law on liquids ......
and definitely not in a water bottle .....vodka is flammable !if below in your checked luggage and spills ? you will get a big fine !and may go to jail ?.
just buy some duty-free ))
NOTE: AS OF SEPTEMBER 2006 NO LIQUIDS - INCLUDING WINES - CAN BE CARRIED ONTO A PLANE. THE NOTES BELOW ARE HISTORIC NOTES IN CASE THEY REMOVE THIS RESTRICTION
In checking with American, Delta, Southwest, United and US Airways, .
There is no FAA regulation about the quantity of actual bottles you can bring. The question is solely about the wine fitting into the carry-on or checked baggage size and weight requirements, and being packed well enough that the bottles will not shatter and make a mess.

You can put it in your checked bags but it's not a really good idea; checked baggage sometimes takes a real beating and you might end up with 1000 peices of bottle and vodka-soaked clothes. Most of the port towns where the cruise ships dock have liquor stores; buy a bottle after you get off the plane but before heading for the ship.
If you're trying to get the vodka in in your bags because you're not of legal age, check with the cruise lines to see what country's drinking age they follow. Many cruise lines are 18+ to drink so you might actually be legal at sea. |

People... the restrictions of liquids only applies to your handbag... the bag that you are carrying on the plane with you, the checked-in luggage that goes in the cargo of the plane can be full with liquids if u want to... |

I just put the original bottle in my checked. Make sure you pad it well. Watch the cargo guys work for a few minutes, and you will know why. |

Try keeping it in the orginal bottle and putting it in your luggage. There is always more then enough alcohol on a cruise ship. My mom went on a cruise a few months ago and they searched their luggage before they were allowed to board th ship(Not just my mom everyone bringing bags onto the ship). Check with cruise company. They might just let you. Unless you are underage. |
