Above 2 answers are correct. You can take it and use it, but not during landing or takeoff. You also need to make sure that the wifi connection is turned off for the duration of the flight.

Yes you are allowed to bring and use any electronic device that does not transmit radio waves. Things you can bring but NOT use are televisions, cell phones, walkie talkies and stuff like that. They can either interfere with communications to the ground or mess up the aircraft systems themselves.
PSPs don't do that...so you are fine. Only time you won't be allowed to use it is during taxi/takeoff/climbing to 10,000 ft, and descent/landing/taxi at your final destination. The flight crew will let you know when you are allowed to use electronic devices. |
