Yes, they will tell you when you can and can't use electronics onboard. Typically, at take-off and landing, you can't use it, but once the plane is coasting, you can use it.
If you're using an iPod Touch or iPhone, you will likely not be able to use, however, due to the wireless signal. |

Yes you can, but must not have it on on take off and landing on any aircraft, whether it is a budget airline or not. A reasonable guide is when the seat belt signs go off when you take off, you can turn it on and when the seat belt signs go on for landing turn it off. It doesn't matter if the seat belt signs come on while you are in the air (because of turbulence), you can leave it on at that time. |

Yes, but not during take-off and landing. Cabin staff will politely ask for all electronic equipment to be switched off for these procedures. It's completely a waste of time unless you have a transmission capable device that might interfere with on-board equipment, which an Ipod cannot possibly do. But hey, I don't make the rules some dumbo who hasn't got a clue does. |

Yes a.s.a.p. after the plane gets in the air the airline person will make the anouncement when to turn on your devices. |
