Once you've narrowed the search, go to the airlines web page, they will offer discounts not offered by the agents. Also South West and JetBlue offer paperless tickets only from their sites. |

By far the best one is www.kayak.com
It searches the databases of ALL the big search engines and tells you the airlines offering the best price. You can also do all sorts of filtering.
Then, once you've found your favourite flight, you just go to the airline's personal website! |

I have had very good experiences with Orbitz.com and Travelocity.com. I have had a terrible experience with Expedia.com. Also try Skybus.com, the new discount airline. They sell 10 seats on all thier flights for just $10. I don't think they fly to Nebraska, but it may make sense to fly Skybus to a nearby destination, and then rent a car and drive. |
