I like to carry envelopes of oatmeal. That way all I have to get is a cup half full of hot water and pour one in. I usually take the flavored ones. At first I carried them for breakfast. I like them so well I keep 2 or 3 in my carry on bag ready to go. |

whatever i see at the airport, i buy and bring.
but last time i bought a bar from the store at the airport, it was 3 dollars for a chocolate bar, and like 4 dollars for a Gatorade.... CHRIST! if i bought any more, I would've paid more for snacks than my airfare
now, i just bring a chocolate bar or a sandwich on my own |

Usually, I will buy little bags of candy or chips. Sure, it's not healthy, but it helps if I just have a couple of M&Ms every now and then on the flight. That way I'm not starving at any point during the trip, because I save some food for later. It's worked for me. I wouldn't really suggest buying something that could get mushy, or squished easily, as in my experience, there are maybe two times where a flight attendent brings around a trash bag. It's not that pleasant to hold onto a squished hamburger wrapper with mustard all over it. |

I am not so sure you can bring snacks on a plane anymore ... unless of course they are factory sealed packages. Maybe they think you might hide a knife in a sandwhich. LOL |
