Avoid alcohol and caffeine-laden drinks as they make you dehydrated and worsen any jet-lag. Drink plenty of water or juices, get up and move around as much as possible, engage in conversations with a variety of strangers, read, watch inflight movies and entertainments.
Remember to set your watch to the destination time zone on take-off, this can help subconciously to reset your body clock.
Relax and enjoy.
Bon voyage. |

I use to live in Australia so I know how long flights can be. They will play at least two movies on the plane. In addition, get a lot of the rag magazines like People and US Weekly. Get a portable DVD player and a season of your favorite TV Show, you could also sleep.
Have fun on your trip! |

Most airlines have personal on-demand in-flight entertainment for flights of that length so that should help you keep your mind off the flight. Take a good book and your mp3 player so you have various forms of entertainment. Try getting a window seat I find that helps cause I can see out and it can be quite relaxing watching the world go by beneath you, it's also another thing to pass the time with. |

I always like to take my ipod to listen to, watch the in-flight movies, sleep, read, all those things I do to relax at home, so whatever you like to do at home and can do from an airplane seat, do that. Just remember to exercise your legs to avoid cramp and DVT and have a great flight! |

A good book is a plus.
I felt as though I was riding on a bus,
and it was a "bumpy" road.
That helped me to keep from freaking out.
If you plan to stay awake the entire trip,
you could close your eyes and do a little
praying. Not for yourself or the flight, but
ask the Lord to put on your mind
who needs prayer.
Or you could have a writing pad and pen
available, and write a letter to the Lord.
I am able to express my own thoughts that way.
Does it help you?
May the Lord bless your trip with peace
and enjoyment.
God bless! |

make sure you get extra leg room, you don't wanna be on a plane where you can't even move your legs, me and my boyfriend made that mistake last year. anyway, just get a good book or 2 and read, if you get bored of that, watch the flight tv. or you could just go to sleep.
lol.

my tip that always helps with long flights:
several whiskies and a diazepam (or other sedative).
you will sleep like a baby.
(Im assuming you are old enough to drink) |

sleep... worked for me when I travelled 8 hours from India to London. I slept through most of the flight... the rest... well, you'd have to resort to movies, games and music.... oh n FOOD!!! But if you get air sickness by any chance, then just pop the tourist pill and doze off. |
