Anyone flown with Ryanair?

What did you think of it? I'm thinking of going to Marrakech with them? Where did you fly to with them? What's comfort and food like etc? Thanks.

I use them regularly for short haul. You get what you pay for. They aren't particularly friendly, and don't expect any help if you have a problem. Think of it like catching a bus; it's all your responsibility. Comfort is not a word associated with a ryanair flight, but it's adequate. They don't provide food. If they could, they'd charge you for air. Oh, and don't get sucked in to that priority boarding scam. Everyone arrives at the same time regardless.

I flew with them twice, they are aweful! Food expensive, seats are crap, service is aweful and they play some annoying trumpet noise when you land informing you that your flight was on time, even tho it wasnt!! Stick with easyjet!!

b_i_l_l2002
You get what you pay for. I've used them to go to "Stockholm" actually 50 miles away) and "Frankfurt" (70 miles), Seating is a free for all. Not much leg room. There is some food, you have to pay for it and they didn't have the advertised hot food last time I went.

Spike
Yes, i flew to France with them from East Midlands. The plane was brand new and spotless. It didn't have any fancy decor just plain simple livery. Everything is an extra with Ryanair so i didnt buy the food but took with me a pack of sarnies. The plane took off on time and landed early. I felt it was one of the most efficient airlines i have ever been on and will definately go with them again.

scooterboy
the worst airline, EVER. would not fly with them if they paid me. i live in ireland and will not fly with them. i would rather walk. there are so many words i would like to use to describe the poor service, planes, staff, food, company, everything. but i cannot print them.

Chavair, no i disagree that you get what you pay for. air arran are just as cheap and also air lingus. much better airlines although air lingus has slipped a bit. if you wanted to be treated like cattle and abused and insulted then ryanair is for you.

Voted number one WORST airline by the BBCs Watchdog the week with more complaints (by a mile) than any other.

They are cheap but why would you risk destroying your whole holiday or trip for the sake of saving £100?

Is it really worth getting stuck in an airport for hours on end?

Is it worth finding your flight has been cancelled and your left in a foriegn airport running around the other companies with hundreds of others and paying a fortune for it?
(it happened more than once just last year)

They really are an appauling airline, full of hidden charges, always under investigation from the authorities, why anyone, despite all this and everything said on tv people STILL book with them absolutely amazes me.

desbrina1
I've flown with them once and i must have been one of the lucky ones, didn't have a single problem. The crew were very helpful, not much waiting around at the airport. Food had to be paid for seperatly, but a lot of airlines are doing that now, making food extra.

You have to be prepared that the flight might be delayed. Although Ryanair advertises itself as the low-cost airline that has least delays, flight might be late only 20 minutes, but even 10 hours (which is terrible, I tell you). The reason is that they the low-costs' business model is based on the high turnarounds, so when a plane arrives to a destination, it has usually 30 minutes for cleaning and preparation for the next departure. What you can do is call the airport of departure and ask about delays of your flight.
The comfort is acceptable, the leg-space is not so huge but it's ok. You have to pay for any drink and food you take, which has good quality but high price.
Keep in mind that you are not allowed to take liquids over the security check so you might want to buy something to drink on the airplane.
With low-costs flight is not the best experience of your life, only a way to reach your destination.

They're great. I honestly don't understand why everyone complains about them. They're efficient, they have great customer service, they take good care of baggage etc. I'm flying with them on Saturday and I can't wait.

darrenroxie211
I have flown all over europe with ryanair more the 40 rtn flights i have only ever once had a problem and that was a 3 hr delay due to fog so no fault of their own.

the leg room on ryanair is better than most holiday airlines
and all the seats are LEATHER.

they have the newest fleet of aircraft in the europe 90% of
the planes the have are less that 2 yrs old

ryanair dont offer free food/drink but you can buy what you need from
the trolly

................ I would recomend them .............

p.s they have the lowest fares
they missplace the lea

Yes I mostly fly them everywhere if I'm going around Europe. The food is good onboard. I've flown Shannon-London Stansted, Shannon-Malaga, Shannon-Birmingham, Shannon-Bergamo, Cork-Manchester, Shannon-Algarve. I've flown to loads more places with Ryanair but I just can't remember them! The flight attendants are a bit rude. Most of their flights are bumpy and horrible landings. They have leather seats and are quite comfortable, but altogether Ryanair is great!:D

ONLY airline I fly with. It is cheap therefore you safe money. Maybe it isn't the best airline but it isn't the worst, Food is tasty if you buy it hhaah its expensive. Leg room is not bad at all, however your legs will be in pain after even 2 hours. Interior hurts the eyes but well it's just horrible in that place haha. If you want to save money then go with them but if you want to have awesome and comfortable flight choose some one else. My flights are always on time and arrive like 30 mins earlier. Stuff isn't bad at all, I love how they do their security check. I ussualy fly from East Midlands and Liverpool, to Riga. Once from riga i flied to london stansted and it was awesome!!!

They are very cheap--but don't expect any frills--and be a little flexible with your times.
They have the most modern aircraft fleet of any airline in Europe--and you will not fly in anything more than a couple of years old.
I recently flew to Dublin from Bournemouth for £2 return--but £45 by the time they had made the add ons.
I would fly with them again--but check out Easy Jet each time as well.

I fly with them as they are the only airline in the airport nearest to me who fly to Dublin, where I am originally from.

I wouldn't fly with them for the food, never eaten it. (overpriced)

It is sometimes hard to understand what the cabin crew are saying too which don't help.

Would ignore the BBC Watchdog report as BA was rated best!!!

zahid
u must talk irish to board on the plane.lol
