Anyone knows how i culd get a passport?

Since the intended trip is just three weeks away, my suggestion is you go to the the closest federal immigration office ASAP and apply for a passport. It normally takes at least four weeks if you apply by mail via your local post office. However, I've heard that due to the new regulation requiring everyone coming from other countries into the USA, there has been a great increase in passport applicants among US citizens so much so that it has taken some as much as ten weeks to receive their passports.

Be prepared to wait in line for a few hours because travel season is here. Also, you may not receive your passport that same day so better do this ASAP, before you have to cancel your trip for lack of a passport.

It typically takes many weeks for a passport to be processed. You want to travel in 3 wks, I'm not sure you can get one even if you pay extra for it to be expedited that quickly.

Typically it's advised for people who know they need a passport to apply months in advance of their travel. Routine service is currently running 10 - 12 weeks according to the information's website. It is really easy to get a passport, if you have the time to do so. It currently takes 12-15 weeks to get one, however you can pay extra and get one in 2-3 weeks. Otherwise you need to make an appointment at the federal building to get one sooner. However those appointments are now being scheduled 2 weeks in advance.

If you don't have a copy of your birth certificate, the real one from the county with the raised embossed stamp on it, you can't get a passport anyway. You need that first.

I am going on a trip in a year and a half and I am allready gonna get it so basicly my tip go to the post office a long time before you go so if somthing gets screwed up you have time to do it over again.

Go to your post office and fill out the forms it takes a while, so do it soon.

Go to the post office and start there. They have the forms you need. You may have to go to a couple post offices, to find one that handles passports.

The more money you are willing to pay, the faster you can get the passport. But if you have waited to long, you are SOL. sadly out of luck or something like that.

You need to go get your passport photo done and then go apply at your local Post Office. I would suggest no later then June 12th to go get your passport. I actually would go get it this week (June 5th-8th), if you can that way you don't have to worry about not having it when June 26th rolls around. It's not that hard to get your passport done just like your cousin told you. I don't know how much it will cost (never got mine). Have fun in Mexico!

ask help from a travel agency, they will assist you for a fee -for a first-timer with little time I think the fee will be worth it

or go to your local foreign affairs dept. It usually takes 2-3 days before you can pick it up
