Are First class flights worth the money.?

I am going to north carolina in 3 weeks and I wanted to fly first class.
Every website that I have been to says that it will be like 100$ more than economy. the flight is only 2 hours.
Is it really worth the extra 100$?

Not for a two hour flight. I have really long legs and on long flights, I have difficulty sitting in economy. I would not waste money though on a short flight to sit in first. You'll get free drinks and that's about it on a short flight like that, maybe a snack. If it were a longer flight I'd say it's worth it. But I can think of better things to spend $100 on.

I guess it depends on whether you can afford it!

no no no no no no

First class domestically is a joke.

The best use of first class is if you are on a long overseas flight, or perhaps across the country. You get more leg and elbow room, a free drink. It is cheaper to buy a drink if you want one. The extra room is not worth 100 dollars for a short flight.

probably not, my boyfriend always upgrades us when they have seats available for $90-$120 each. I never pay for it because I don't think its worth it. He does though. He's really tall so the extra room for him is a MUST. I get nervous on flights so I normally drink about 3-4 drinks while on the plane lol But they are small drinks not worth $20 each. Anyway if its only 2 hours don't upgrade unless you have the money and want to be super comfy. Good Luck!

Depends how much $100 is worth to you...

To me I'd always go for it if it were only $100 difference. Which airline is it that has this difference? AirTran? They have pretty cheap Business Class (they don't call it First) fares, although maybe as you're booking relatively late it could just be that Economy fares are inflated to near F prices.

First class on an international flight on an international flight is costlier than USD100. Its even good enough if you fly business class if you can afford it. You're likely to be pampered as good as the first class anyway. First and business class domestic flight is not worth the USD100.

If this is your first opportunity to travel first class and the difference is only $100, go for it! Afterward, you'll be able to decide for yourself if the cost was worth it.

For a two hour flight, economy class is sufficient (when you go to a movie you sit in that chair for 90 minutes, right?) for that length of time. For three-hours or more, business class is worth it. I rarely fly within the USA but I fly internationally and usually biz class; the comfort is worth it to me.

So, it's your money, splurge just this once to gain the experience; it's only $100 and you'll make that back on your next payday.

Have Fun!

If the flight is only 2 hours, I would think it is worth the extra money. But if you need the extra space because you are a tall person, maybe paying the extra $100 is worth it. You have to decide whether or not you can afford it. But as others have mentioned, first class flying within the U.S. isn't that much better than economy.

First class is only worth it if you are not paying for it out of your own pocket.
