Are flight attendants scared of the whole terrorist deal???

I'm a pilot, not a FA but can tell you that I don't know a single FA that is intimidated by the threat of terrorism.

There would have to be daily incidents of major proportion to even give someone a statistical chance of being killed in a plane crash, terrorist related or not.

If you're afraid of terrorists in the air, then you should also be afraid to go to the mall, a sporting event, concert, on a cruise or any variety of activities where people gather en masse. The reality is that you never know when you're going to take your last breath. Why lead a Walter Mitty life?

Go ahead and conquer your fear. You'll have a great career and enjoy each and every day.

I'm sure they are. But you can't live your life in fear. What about the people who were in the Twin Towers? What about the people on some of the subways/trains that have been bombed? Unfortunately, we live in a world with terrorist. We can't let them win by sitting in our homes, afraid to go anywhere or do anything.

i would be more scared of the whiny customers than 9/11. but some personalities are suited for it, so i'm sure you'd be great!

I'm sure they worry about it, but they have a living to make just like everybody else, so I doubt if they dwell on it.
We can' let fear stop us from living.

You know,...a lot of ppl are scared these days. But, you can choose to live in fear or go on with your life day by day, just like everyone else does.

airport securety everywhere is so good now. i wouldnt worry. chances are the next attack will be something different anyways.

if you are going to be a flight attendant there is a good chance you will die every day anyways as plane crashes for non terrorist reasons are quite regular.

there is like 98% more chance that your plane will crash because of weather or an engin problem than a terrorist attack so dont worry.

everybody is scared.. because anything can happen.. but if everyone was scared all the time.. the world wouldn't work anymore.

you just have to hope for the best, and pray for a better tomorrow.
