Yes, Headphones and Walkmans are allowed inflight. As with all other electronics, you must switch these off during taxi, takeoff and landing, and when you land, they must be switched off untill the exits are opened.
The reason? During crucial times like taxi, takeoff and landing, the elctronics (mainly cell phones and electronics that transmit and recieve signals) could possibly interfere with the aircraft's navigation system. Cell phones and electronics that transmit or recieve signals must stay switched off for the remainder of the flight.
If you want to call someone on the ground, full service airlines sometimes offer airphones that have a small charge per minute in use. If you want the safety video, ask the airline by email for the safety video, and if it's a manual demonstration your own your own.
Now back to headphones and Walkmans. If you follow the rules, yes they are allowed on the aircraft. |

of course yes, u can bring u headphones and save 2 dollars in the plane, CD Walkmans? wowww that is so rare these days but for sure yes, also u ipod, ipod nano, mp3, DVD portatil, laptop, radio portatil, psp --also digital cameras, video cameras- and u can watch u own movies and listening u music during the domestic fly, but you have to turn it off during the take off and landing. You can carry these items g in u bagpack in the plane. If you are in a international fly to europe or asia prepare for the tons of movies, games and music in u own seat. |

yes. they'll have you run it through the x-ray machine to make sure it's not a bomb, but yes, you can bring them on the plane. |

Yup. But during take off and landing they'll ask you to turn them off sometimes. During the flight, you can listen to them though. |
