Jeans are fine; just don't wear a belt (or if you do, take it off & get it scanned).

IF the detectors go off, all the security guard will do is wave a wand over you to determine where the metal might be. You'll have to turn out your pockets and lift your shirt to show the button, and that would be it.

That is of course IF, IF, IF!!! it happens. I've never had a pair of my jeans trip the detector, and I go through airport security at least a dozen times a year.

Jeans are fine, I fly in them all the time and never have a problem.

I wear them every time I fly and I fly a lot! They don't set off the detectors, but I would limit yourself on thsese items: belt, loose change, keys....cuz you have to take them out everytime you pass through....can get annoying.

Jeans are perfect for traveling. The metal in them won't set off the metal detectors, so there's no need to worry.

no, jeans wont set off the metal dectectors. If you are wearing a belt, you would probably have to that off though cuz the buckle could set off the metal detector. You also have to empty your pockets into the bin (so it can go through the xray machine)

I wear jeans whenever I fly. But just as other people have said, wear jeans that are not too tight. Wearing loose clothing is good especially for a long flight. Jeans will not set off the metal detector. A belt mostly likely will.

Jeans are uncomfortable on a long plane ride. When I go on plane rides I wear velour suits, they are so comfortable

It's about being comfortable. It can be terribly uncomfortable to sit in one place for several hours, so be as comfortable as you can.

No, they won't set any decterctors off, don't worry about that!

Wear loose jeans though, simply for the fact that they're much more comfortable, sweatpants may be even better for comfort's sake.

ohh jeans arent a problem! Just make sure that if your wearing a belt to take that off, you will not be searched because of it. Ive always worn jeans when i fly with no problem

i've worn jeans everytime i flew and i've been just fine. they shouldn't set metal detectors off unless you have something in your pockets that would set off a metal detector. most people wear jeans at airports when traveling based on what i've seen.
