Mobile phones are allowed on airplanes, but you can't make any calls while in flight. That's why phones have the "Airplane Mode" feature -- they don't transmit or receive signals that cause electromagnetic interference with the airplane's various communication systems and instruments.

The problem is that flight staff are not trained in all the various cell-phones. You may have to show them the actual process of turning it into flight mode. Even so, the captain has final discretion. The problem is that devices such as cell phones have interfered with navigation instruments. It may be an inconvenience, but it is for your safety.
This is one of the biggest problems with "all in one" phones. And also why I keep a small MP3 player in addition to a smart phone.

Yes you are allowed to have your mobile phone with you on the aircraft, you will just have to switch to "airplane mode" which most phones have - so you can not make any phone calls while in flight.

You should be fine, as long as you don't turn it on in the phone mode, I assume you have an mp3 player on your phone and those are allowed, just not during take-offs and landings. You may have to convince the cabin crew it is an mp3 player in an offline mode if one of the cabin crew sees your phone, though.

yeah, but you cant make any calls. You have to disable the signal. If your phone has something called "flight mode" then you can use your phone to listen to music on the plane.

just remember, all electronics must be turned off during take off and landing

Yes , you can carry mobile phones on a flight, but you need to switch it off during the flight

technically the airline mode too is not very effective and if u ask a capt he'd just ask u to keep if off..
but yes, since the mobile co. has given us this options... u can use ur mobile phone during flight to listen to music...
u must keep it switched off during take off and landing ... coz the waves affect the transmission of data and messages from the cockpit to the control tower.

Yes you are allowed to bring a mobile phone onto a plane, however it must be turned off at all times during flight and must only be switched back on when instructed to do so upon landing.

i dont believe you will be Able to, since it is your phone they will not know weather or not it is on or not. but it depends on the flight attendant you get.

they will not allow one the flight takes off due to communication problem but i heard soon it will be allowed
