First of all, Yes your MP3 player is allowed right now. But that can change. This web site: http://www.tsa.gov/press/happenings/threat-change.shtm for the TSA will give you the latest up to date information. |

Yes, but you have to have it turned off for the first and last 20 minutes of the flight. |

Yup! I guess so... I use my celphone while I'm riding the plane, an MP3 player won't make a difference. But turn it off first while the plane's taking off and when the plane's gonna land. You know when the 'Fasten your seatbelts' sign is on. :) |

Flew from New Zealand to LA about a month ago (after the London incident) & they were allowing mp3's, phones, cameras on. Of course, I had shipped all my electronics home because at that time they were saying only id & tickets would be permitted on board. |

It depends on the airline. Some allow even cell phones during flight.
Most airlines will allow mp3 players but not during take-off and landing. |

Should be ok if you are a caucasian, but any dark skinned person wearing dodgy clothes and looking a bit shifty NO WAY MATE, they'll have you and your mp3 in security quarters quicker than you can say YOU ARE A RACIST. |
