Well it depends where you are going and where you are flying from? I say that b/c I'm from NY and I have never had my batteries taken away. I bring a diskman to listen to. I travel at least 5 times a year, all over. The only place I ever had them taken away was in the Dominican Republic. Check with your airline carrier. Worse comes to worse pack a few with your carry on then leave the rest in your big suitcase. Also start out with new batteries so even if they do take them the batteries should last the trip!
