Some people like to dress up a little bit for flying. I once worked for an airline with kind of old school dress codes for employees traveling, so I had to dress a little nicer than your average traveler. Even now, when I buy tickets, I still dress a little nicer than jeans and a tee shirt.
Young girls, the ones likely to wear mini skirts, I can definitely see wanting to dress up and seeing a mini as a good choice. Good luck to those brave ladies! Planes are often too cold for me to wear even a knee-length skirt, and I don't want to try walking in heels when I get off the plane and jet bridge.
In my years I have seen younger girls wearing minis and short shorts and heels. So I guess it does happen. |

I prefer pajamas and slipper-socks, might as well be as comfortable as possible while jammed up in a seat built for a 2-year old while getting drooled on by a 500 hundred pound sleeping bear in the the seat next to you. Just my opinion. |

you have to keep in mind that people flying places are going places for a reason and part of that reason could attain to the idea they dress the way they do. let me tell you though, the last time i flew i wore shorts with running shoes and a long sleeved shirt and i was cold. so i would assume the people who do it either do not fly often or really have somewhere to go. |

Some women do, but I think a lot of people have an airport outfit and like to get dressed up to a certain degree anyway. Sort of pre holiday excitement I suppose. I guess if they feel comfortable wearing a mini and high heels then good for them. |

I like to be comfortable when I fly because I like to sleep on the plane. I think women who do that just want attention. Nothing wrong with that, just their 'thing' I guess. |

Some people like it. Sometimes, you get right off the plane and don't have time to change.. or some people just dress like that. Personally, I usually wear trackpants and flip flops on the plane. So much more comfortable and practical. |

yep.. saw some hooch of a flight attendant doing that and its her job to be on the plane for a while. Plus some biz. women like to just jump off the plane right when it lands and get to work. Depends on how mini the skirt is..

I am sure there are people who like to wear mini skirts and high heels but maybe they are traveling for business and will go straight to the office once they arrive. Most people like to wear jeans or something comfortable. On long flights, it can get really chilly on the airplane. |

Yeah. I guess the ones that 'got it and flaunt it'. Like the 19 yr-old with a mini skirt that hiked up to her waist when she shoved her bag up onto the overhead rack. Don't get me wrong. I ain't agin it. Whoo! Whoo! |
