JetBlue is great when you are flying out of JFK or Boston. Or if you are flying to JFK or Boston.

Frontier is great when you are flying out of Denver or to Denver.

Southwest is great flying anywhere.

I usually find United Airlines to be the cheapest for where I am flying. (I live in San Jose, CA) but it very's place to place and where you are flying.

My favorite airline to fly is JetBlue because I never get bored on there flights. (the tv's behind every seat with over 20 channels and I fly to JFK at least twice a year)

As far has search engines to try for finding the cheapest flights. I use www.Orbitz.com. They work great for me.

It all depends were you are flying to and were you are flying from.

Have safe trip!

Spirit Airlines is the "Ultra Low Cost Carrier"

Even with the low prices, service is not compromised.

I am a flight attendant for them, and I promise I am not advertizing.

To really get a list of all the possible places, just type "airlines" into a search engine.

But as far as suggestions go, I think Priceline is the website where you can name your own price, but you're at the mercy of the airlines as to how many stops you'll have to make in between.

Travelocity's really good, and so is Expedia, but I usually prefer Alaskan Airlines...I use them the most.

You forgot Southwest. But I personally like to search www.sidestep.com. It does all the comparing for you. There's alos Expressjet, Mesa, Spirit, USA3000, Jetblue, Song, Allegiant.

Susan D
allegiant air is cheap. But you have to check them out since they don't fly everywhere.
