When you buy your ticket, generally, you may sometimes be able to choose where to sit.

Sometimes the plane is too full and there won't be any good seats, so, good luck.

Adam
Yes babe, you are assigned a seat. Once the plane takes off and has been in the air for a while you can ask the attendant if you can sit next to the hot guy you've been staring at. lol

Relax, you'll be fine! They'll give you your ticket which will have your seat number on it, and if you go to the correct number, you will not be doing anything wrong. Enjoy your flight!

Yes usually when you check in they will give you a seat number. The seats are numbered so it's not hard to find your seat. Some airlines give you seat numbers right when you buy the tickets or let you pick your preference such as aisle, window or middle seat.

Depending on who you are flying with they may pre book your seats or you can request seats. In most instances seat assignments happen at the time of check in. But there are always assigned seats on a plane - and for good reasons.

There are assigned seats.
On your ticket there should be a number, and a letter.
The number indicates which row you are in, the letter indicates which seat.
For instance, 26E

You need to check with your airline.

Some of the cheaper places assign seats when you check in, so first come first serve. Others simply let you decide when you board.

Always your seat is assigned in advance, or they assign yours at check-in (that only when you purchase during the last week prior to the flight).

This is of course true for all airlines with one exception. That would be Southwest Airlines. Southwest lines em up like 200 rats fighting for 175 pieces of cheese. It's hilarious really. You can always tell when you are walking by a Southwest flights 'casue there's huge lines of nervous and hungry people wondering if they will get on.

So just fly any airline except Southwest, and you will always get a seat reserved for you.

Zac
they are assigned, ask for a window seat for the view or an isle seat for the easy access to the restroom.

Salvador G
well when you buy ur ticket yes ussually but when u ar bording the plane it really depends on the airline because some airlines just say pick a seat and others are ussually escorting to ur assigned seats. which really sucks!!!!

.wildorchid.
of course.
the airlines will assign your seat once you buy a ticket. you can choose to be first class or regular. if your going alone, yes there will be someone who will sit next to you.

Fred Fan
Yes, seats are assigned. You can assign a seat if you personally want to sit by someone. If not, you can just pick a good seat, like a window seat. But you have to assign a seat to go on a plane. Does that answer your question?

LexiSan
There are usually assigned seats and they are numbered. It's usually a mix like 5C or something like that. If you need help finding your seat, the flight attendants can do that.

katy louise
yea but you generally chose if you want to be sat together or scattered around

Most of the time, you can choose your seat when you buy your ticket. If the plane is filled, they may assign a seat. Another situation is if you are put on standby, there WILL be an assigned seat! Hope this helps

remowlms
Yes, the seats are numbered and most (but not all) airlines assign seats and that number will be on your ticket.

once you purchase your ticket you will be in which seat your seating on ..and if you ever need help tell the flight attendants that's why they work .

Allen G
Generally yes. You'll be asked if you want a window seat or isle seat and all that good stuff. When you board the plane, your ticket will say e3 or something like that witch would be isle e seat 3. If your not sure, ask the host as your boarding the plane and he/she will point out your seat.

Olive
It's assigned and will be on your ticket.

There's a seat number on your ticket but not all people care that much if you decide to sit in their seat.
