YES ME TOO I TAKE THE GREYHOUND.. OR DRIVE... I NEVER COULD FIGURE OUT HOW PLANES STAY IN THE SKY.. THEY WEIGH SO MUCH.. THEY SAY ITS SAFER.. IM STILL AFRAID..BESIDES THE BUS IS INTERESTING.. YOU MEET SO MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE..AND DRIVING, IM IN CONTROL.

I'm not - I love it. I really do, once I'm on a plane it's relaxing, haha. I fly a LOT for work and I love it. And statistically, it's far safer than driving. I honestly feel far safer on a plane than I do in a car.

watev
no because there are trained pilots that fly the oplane and you can always close the wsindows to the p,lane if ur afriad but they serve u food and drinks to ease ur nerves too.......also u can sleep or watch a movie if traveling far.................ggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!... this stuff is just like sitting in ur home except ur in the air. awsome:)))

jacksparra
no because i have flown alot before on all different kinds of flights and airlines. I recommend that if u r flying more than 2-3 hours than fly on jet blue or another airline that has built-in tvs

I have not flown yet but if I ever had to I would probably be afraid to. Like I always say , you can't stop the plane and get out once it's going. That's why I will stick to driving.

Your chances of being involved in an aircraft accident are about 1 in 11 million. On the other hand, your chances of being killed in an automobile accident are 1 in 5000. Statistically, you are at far greater risk driving to the airport than getting on an airplane. However, the perception is that you have more control over your fate when you are in your car than as a passenger traveling on an airplane. Experience shows otherwise, considering that over 50,000 people are killed on the highways every year. Media coverage would suggest that airline crashes happen every day. Studies have shown one would have to fly once a day every day for over 15,000 years in order to statistically be involved in an aircraft accident"
Flying is very very safe. Don’t worry about terrorists that is the least likely thing to go wrong on a commercial flight in the US these days. Flying in the United States is very safe, there has not been a major airline crash in the US since November of 2001! That is a long time for no major crashes and only on fatality in the last seven years for the Major Airlines in the US.
Even when there is a problem on an airplane, if an engine fails on takeoff or an engine fire etc.. 99% of the time the plane lands safely. Planes these days are amazing piece of technology and the pilots are trained better than ever. If you not afraid to drive in a car you should not be afraid to fly in a plane.
Just sit back relax and try to enjoy the flight. Its one of the safest things you can do much safer than driving a car, walking down the street, or even sleeping in your house. More people have died on North American highways in the year 2006 than the amount of people who have died in powered flight aviation whole 104 year history!
Also the best way to completely get over your fears is go to you local General aviation airport and take flying lessons! Once you fly in a small airplane a few times and learn that airplanes fly and that’s all they do you will be much more confident with flying on commercial planes. You will learn a lot with a few flying lessons. I could even teach you a lot by just showing you my Microsoft Flight Simulator. Flying is a great experience, once you get used to it and learn what makes airplanes fly etc.. your fears go away trust me, I used to be a little bit scared to fly too. Now I LOVE it.

No. I know that when it is your time to go, it is your time to go no matter what. I trust the people flying the plane and I pray that the flight will be safe.

How many times have you flown and if so, how many times did it wreck? Why get yourself all worked up and fearful when you could have relaxed and enjoyed your full flight time.? Meet the people around you. Faith and Trust is what I have. I might become fearful if the plane really started to jerk around a lot. Otherwise, I have started flying with my boyfriend in a 2-seater plane. He let me fly it to see how it really works and that the pilot has full control. There are controls in both seats in his plane.

Enjoy your time by reading, or listening to the radio, or meeting new people when you fly.

You shouldn't be afraid. Flying can be a neat experience. For most people, it's something we don't do everyday. That is what makes it unique. Also flying is the quickest form of travel over long distances. You should steer away from taking the bus or a train during long journeys, because you will be up there for HOURS to possbily DAYS. It just depends on how far away your destination is.

I am not scared at all i actually look forward to the flight. Sometimes i do hate the plane because it hurts my ears or because i am bored.

Gõlden angel
nop Im not...
but Im sure if your flying with an angel you dont have to be afraid anymore, especially if she's a Golden angel.
