Are you allowed to paint your nails on the plane?

I am a flight attendant, I do not recommend it for several reasons... >first off, the smell is offensive to some people (doesn't bother me) >second, the smell is so strong it may mask other odors that are more important to smell, such as smoke from an electrical fire, this is rare, but you never know >third, the smell of fingernail polish is very similar to a person giving off odors who may be going into a diabetic shock...(this has happened before on my flight before). I say save yourself the embarrassment and paint your nails before hand. otherwise the flight attendants will tell you to put it away, and some will not be pleasant about doing so. Buh Bye for now and have a safe flight! |

Probably not. It smells bad to begin with and would be upsetting to those in the area with you. Let's be considerate here. |

I don't know that there's an official "rule" about it, but I would expect the cabin crew to tell you NO. First, the smell is offensive to many people, and second, if you should spill it there would be a very expensive cleaning job needed. |

would you want someone to expose you to those strong fumes in a small space? What if you have a respiratory ailment? |

I don't think so. It would also be really disrespectful for the people around you, too, since it'll stink up the area and give everyone a headache. |

Nope. It'd make a mess if you spilled, and it has bad fumes. Plus i wouldn't because what if turbulence happens when you're painting. |

Yep. Just make sure you have less than 3 oz. of paint or it's not gonna fly! |
