Usually with palm pilots and smartphones, there's an option for "flight mode." All this means is that, while you can still use your calendar (and play games) and such, the actual "phone" part of the device is turned off. It confused me at first, when I got my phone, but now it's just a relief that I can still listen to music and check my appointments on a plane without having to actually turn on my phone - there are usually separate on/off buttons for the phone and the device. |

Yep. Do it all the time, just not during takeoff and landing. |

Yes you can use the palm pilot during the flight, you just can not use the wireless features of the device. The flight attendants will tell you the appropriate when it is OK to use electronic devices. |

I don't think you can use any electrical devices while the plane is taking off and landing and you definitely can't use the phone part of your treo at any time. |

Yes. You just can't use the wireless features during landing and takeoff. |

As long as all radio wave transmitting functions are off you can, that would include WiFi, BlueTooth... You can use any electronic devices (sans cellphones) as long as that criteria is met. |

You have to disable the wireless part. it is called flight mode. You can listen to your mp3's or do a spreadsheet but no wireless communications like phone or e-mail. |

Only during the time when it's on the ground. It is not a device that is approved for operation during flight.
You can use it if you can turn off the transmitter, but what's the point then? |

If it has been turned to the offline mode, then yes. You cannot do emails etc.....I have a Palm Treo 700 and I have to shut it off everytime I fly. |
